Alessandra Ambrosio joined Kate Hudson on the red carpet at the amfAR’s Inspiration Gala at Milk Studios California yesterday evening.
The Victoria’s Secret model wore a Zuhair Murad Spring 2012 Couture gown.
Her black embroidered lace gown with a corseted back and sweetheart neckline was one of my favourite looks from this collection, but I’m not that excited to see it worn by Alessandra.
That’s because the dress is a re-run having already been worn by Padma Lakshmi.
Irene Neuwirth One of a Kind 18k white gold rarrings with emeralds, black onyx, and rose cut diamonds on pave hooks and a half-up, half-down hairstyle completed Alessandra’s look.

Rerun or not, it excites me… I think she looks stunning and would have been on my personal BDOTW poll.
Such a gorgeous dress, it was one of my favourties from the collection as well. I prefer Alessandra’s styling in comparison to Padma’s but I preferred the dress on Padma’s body shape.
Especially after seeing the runway photo she seems to lack much waist-hip definition to really make the dress exciting. But nice hair and make-up.
Reading your comment and looking at back at the picture you are so right.
Even the model on the runway has more hip definition that Alessandra.
Totally agreed – I think the horizontal striping from waist to hip that emphasizes her boyish figure, too.
+1
That is the first thing I noticed. No waist definition.
+1 about the waist-hip definition. I noticed it right away and couldn’t help see that the difference made a big one!
Agreed. I don’t like this colour on her either. Maybe is because she seems too tanned.
I love it! But I would love it even more on someone with a womanly figure
This dress would look much better on curves.
Looks MUCH better on the model.
Alessandra rocked it out of the park! She looks so glamorous in this. Wow! The other girl is busting out of it. No good.
My immediate reaction was “It looks better on the model than on Alessandra , but Alessandra is a model!”
Alessandra actually has lovely waist/hips, but this dress belies that. It’s amazing how dresses look drastically better on a woman with curves as opposed to without.
I can’t like this look because I don’t like how she appears to have no curves at all…
agree, I prefer it on Padma
This gown is gorgeous!
I don’t like the dress over much–busy and trying to hard. It’s even worse on her with that pout…also it doesn’t give her a waist. I like her hair pretty well but the overall look does not work.
