Doutzen Kroes gave us a totally different look when she hit the red carpet in her home country, Holland, for The Gouden Kalveren Gala on Friday evening.
The L’Oreal model shunned her usually pretty frocks for something more daring by Viktor & Rolf.
The long-sleeved dress from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection featured black glass fringes, a plunging neckline and sexy sheer geometric sheer panels.
A bold red lip colour completed her look.

I love everything about this look.
I’m not a fan of the dress, but she totally pulled it off, so it’s a thumb up for me, on somebody else this dress would be sooo tacky. I must say it’s really revealing… she looks naked (or without lingerie).
A stunning dress, I just wish the illusion panel matched her skin.

Totally, it’s like a mix-up of ideas, it’s all over the place : huge decollete, sheer, feathers, cutouts…It’s like Victor and Rolf couldn’t make up their mind so they did it all.

I’m not crazy about the bust area but she’s working the dress like the gorgeous supermodel pro she is.
DOutzen looks great. Its daring and it works. The best thing about this look is that she is a Dutch model wearing a Dutch designer at a Dutch event. Love it. And I would love to see more Viktor & Rolf on the red carpet.

Love it but the crotch area looks a little tacky
It’s a bold look and her make-up is perfect, but… well that’s about when my praise ends. The panel under her cleavage looks cheap (if you were worried about showing skin why wear that dress??). Awkward at the crotch… yeah just awkward. Had she worn the runway version I could have LOVED it.
It’s like a daring version of a 1930′s gown. I don’t want to know how one tapes this down to avoid nightmare peek-a-boo gaffes. However, if Doutzen can’t wear this, who can? This is a dress I like in concept more than in practice. It’s wonderful in a static photo, but if I saw her moving, I’d look away.

A bold look that works! But hope she is wearing nude undies otherwise the obvious commando look will just dominate. Sooo glad she steered clear of the hold ups that model wore which don’t work with this dress at all
