In September 2008, DL1961 launched their premium denim line in New York City and since then they have amassed a huge celebrity following including Fearne Cotton, Victoria Justice, Courteney Cox, Halle Berry and Miranda Kerr.

DL1961 and have come together to create the perfect tailored jeans to fit any woman’s lifestyle.

If you are thinking… “Jeans? Bags?? Where’s the connection?”, well it came about after co-founder Tina Craig tweeted about who much she loved the jeans. Note to self…need to tweet more about how much I love Elie Saab.

Tina has become fascinated with the denim line after discovering that they never stretched out and that they took off five pounds. Now you’re intrigued.

The line offers the traditional skinny, boot cut, flared and straight legs jeans, with a twist.

‘The Hipster’ has a cool plaid print while ‘The Cocktail Pant’ features leather patchwork detailing.

‘The Sunday Brunch’ is a high-rise kick flare jean, ‘The Travel Pant’ has a back zipper that neatly houses your passport and ‘The Black-Tie Substitute’ pretty much speaks for itself. I love the baroque print which can be glammed to suit any occasion.

On my recent trip to Florence, Tina wore ‘The Transition Jean’ which is a vibrant jewel-tone ombre jean with a sleek, glossy finish. I would love to see this worn by Blake Lively.

Shop the collection now at Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and

I’m getting the ‘Black Tie Substitute’. Which style do you favour?
