Melanie Doutey made my heart stop for a second when she stepped out onto the red carpet this evening for the Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony and ‘Therese Desqueyroux’ premiere.
The French actress wore an Emilio Pucci Fall 2012 gown with a dangerous central split.
Her bedazzled houndstooth print long sleeve dress screams sexy, yet oozes Parisian chic at the same time.
It was accented with a black leather belt and accessorized with a black satin clutch and a gorgeous pair of black Sergio Rossi ‘Chloris’ sandals which are to die for.
This look is head-to-toe perfection for me and much improved from the runway.

I. Want. Those. Sandals.
Me.Too
Me three.
Me too :’(
DITTO. I want them as bad as I want that Valentino jumpsuit on the right (…and the Oscar de la Renta earrings… and the Erickson Beamon cuff…)
Ditto to all
Same here! I don’t know why, but my attention was immediately drawn to those awesome-looking sandals even though they’re black and sort of hidden.
+1
Wow wow wow ! I disliked the dress on the runway but there, she wears it very well .
such a BEAUTIFUL woman! too bad French women are always in the “background” of the American/British.
I love this CHIC (french chic) look from head (nice haircut) to toe (oh, the sandals!).
So true !
Those shoes are to die for.
Melanie’s new bob works well with her dress. Great look.
BDOTD! She looks smoking hot
Them shoes are crazy sexy.
I love Melanie she’s amzing in her movies! This outfit is perfection and the shoes are just out of this world. I don’t understand why celebs keep wearing the same Brian Atwood maniac; YSL tribtoo, louboutin Pigalle … (even if they are nice) when they are so many amazing things out there
Love it!
Yes the dress is good (nothing to do with the runway version) – but really can anyone take his eyes off those Sergio Rossi?
The look is the head-to-TOE perfection (swooning over thoes sandals), just wish it was a bit more figure-flattering, would imagine it on someone taller and more slender, but she looks great.
Really don’t like on and off runway–heavy looking, unflattering, and way overly revealing.
The shoes, though, are heavenly!
as beautiful as the outfit and styling is, something about it is unflattering to her figure…
Is this fitting properly? It looks like it was made for a larger woman. Nice shoes, though.
Perfection… that’s all I have to say
Fabulous adaptation from the runway and like everyone else, love those shoes!
