CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund 15th Anniversary Event

CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund 15th Anniversary Event

A host of models and actress joined Emily Blunt to help the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund celebrate their 15th anniversary event on Monday (November 5) Brooklyn, New York.

Shanina Shaik: This Carolina Herrera Spring 2019 dress is full of so much fun, vibrancy and youthful flair, that I had this parked on my wish list for Elle Fanning.

Karolina Kurkova: While Shanina was feeling the joys of spring, Karolina was falling forward in her Monse Pre-Fall 2018 checked skirt and sweater combo. The brand are known for their cool deconstructed designs and this look is inherent of the brand. I love the brave choice to add yet another pattern to this mix with the striped pumps.

Karlie Kloss: I’ve associated Brandon Maxwell with bold colours, that I forget that his designs can be just as intriguing in detailed black.

Emily Blunt In Khaite – CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund 15th Anniversary Event

Emily Blunt In Khaite - CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund 15th Anniversary Event

Emily Blunt helped the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund celebrate their 15th anniversary event on Monday (November 5) Brooklyn, New York.

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you this is the third outing of this Khaite Resort 2019 dress, following Katherine Waterston last week and Sarah Paulson back in September.

I wonder who’s going to wear it in December?

Despite the threepeat, we are seeing this dress with fresh eyes with the allover spot print.

I love how the pleats through the asymmetric skirt lend movement to the mix, lending fun impact to this feminine frock.

Camila Mendes In Reem Acra – 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards

Camila Mendes joined Cate Blanchett, Lupita Nyong’o and many more on the red carpet for the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 4) at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.

The ‘Riverdale’ star wore a Fall 2018 dress which saw Reem Acra inspired by a distant galaxy.

This thigh-skimming drop-waist dress, embellished with an explosion of sequinned and beaded constellations, has a lot more depth to it thanks to the additional black layers.

I’m sure most wish the whole thing was layered, but I love the sensuality I’m getting from Camila’s version.

Atelier Swarovski clip earrings by Iris Apfel and Nicholas Kirkwood sandals completed her look.

2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The stylish ladies were out in full force at the 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards on Monday (November 6) in Brooklyn, New York.

Sara Sampaio: The Portuguese model charmed in a J Mendel Resort 2018 mini. The short shape and blush colour were enlivened with feathered appliqués. The dusty neutral tones and simple styling allowed the texture to be appreciated without the bird connotations.

Karlie Kloss:
Striking a shimmering statement, the model donned a Christian Dior frock. The long sleeves and ankle-length hemline had a prim feel, but the geometric pattern and shimmering details added much allure.

Lauren Santo Domingo: Also in a feathered confection, the Moda Operandi cofounder was clad in Calvin Klein Fall 2017. Similar to Sara, the textured look had a sophisticated finish thanks to the blush-toned feathers but hers were accented with red and yellow. Given the lightness of the dress, I would have preferred a softer shoe without the black details. You may remember that Julianne Moore wore this same dress to the Met Gala.

Nicki Minaj In Alexander Wang – 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Nicki Minaj attended the 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards on Monday (November 6) in the Brooklyn, New York as the guest of Alexander Wang.

As you would expect, her custom piece has an edge to it, but my feeling is that this look will split you into several camps.

Camp 1. Hideous.

Camp 2. Not something you favour, but believe this suits Nicki’s style and persona.

Camp 3. Would’ve been best suited for a performance piece not a Vogue event.

Camp 4. What are those hot pants all about?

Laura Harrier In Sies Marjan – 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Laura Harrier and Leon Bridges attended the 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards on Monday (November 6) in the Brooklyn, New York as the guest of Ahlem Eyewear.

Laura Harrier: Donning geek chic Ahlem Eyewear, the ‘ Spider-Man: Homecoming’ actress channelled a dreamy romance in Sies Marjan. This Spring 2018 floaty dress paired with the sporty wedges is a perfect example of why we love her effortless style, and why she’s quickly became a fashion darling.

Leon Bridges: The gospel singer who looked very dapper in his navy Tom Ford suit. I love how his Ahlem shades and suede loafers give this look some ‘Rat Pack’ charm.

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show Red Carpet Roundup

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund show on Wednesday (October 25) in Los Angeles, California presented a myriad of exciting looks thanks to the number of stylish women in attendance.

Millie Bobby Brown: This minimalist Calvin Klein look helped cement the ‘Stranger Things’ actress’s status as a young starlet who has an innate sense of style. Some might deem this outfit as a tad too sophisticated for a 13-year-old, but I found the mix of the white halter dress against the bold black accessories brilliant. It showed that younger celebs don’t always need to go the princess route.

Nikki Reed: The actress’s Emporio Armani Spring 2017 separates had an easy elegance. Critics might find that the ensemble looked too much like pjamas, but the vibrant colour and the contrasting candy cane-like stripes on the cuffs and hem presented a fun finish. The tailoring was also beautifully done. The look was styled with Casadei sandals and a Lee Savage clutch.

Kaia Gerber: The model was another one who sported a chic outfit that revealed a mature sense of styling. The demure below-the-knee Veronica Beard Spring 2018 dress didn’t feel dowdy thanks to the white and red check. Plus, her bold accessories lent a youthful vibe to the frock.
