InStyle And Warner Bros. Golden Globes After Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features InStyle And Warner Bros. Golden Globes After Party

The InStyle and Warner Bros. 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards Post-Party on Sunday (January 6) in Beverly Hills, California, was the most attended party last night, so strap in for the 41 looks.

Rowan Blanchard: There are many of you who haven’t been able to get on board with Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2019 ruffles. This crinkle organza multi layer dress was a tall order for the petite star, but with her new pixie hair, Buccellati jewels and confident attitude, she pulls this off for me, even though I’m not fan of her Roger Vivier sandals.

Kiki Layne: The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actress swapped her Dior for Valentino, wearing sparkling tiered whimsy dress from the Spring 2019 collection. This is another dress which may see you divided, but I think she carries if off with great aplomb.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Theia – King and Queen of Tonga Dinner

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex changed into her third white dress of the royal tour for an official dinner with the King and Queen of Tonga on Thursday (October 25).

The floor-length gown is by designer THEIA, whose mission is to create dresses which make the woman who wear their designs feel confident and ready to shine, something the Duchess most definitely did on this occasion.

Theia Creative Director Don O’Neill shared his thoughts. “The Duchess of Sussex has long been a source of inspiration. Her classic, effortless and chic style coupled with all the excitement leading up to her wedding earlier this year inspired my Spring 2019 bridal collection which I showed in April.”

“When her stylist reached out to inquire if I could make a dress for her Australian press tour, I stopped everything we were doing (my bridal show was just a week away) and immediately went to work on Her Royal Highness’s gown. We completed the gown in 2 days, shipped it out and received confirmation that The Duchess LOVED it, but with one caveat. We needed to remake it with extra seam allowance. We knew immediately why this extra allowance was required, but Mum’s the word, and with less than one week to my bridal show, all hands were on deck once more, we re-made the gown and I literally had to run down Broadway that Friday night to catch the UPS truck making it with just 2 minutes to spare!”

“I am humbled and sooo excited to dress The Duchess of Sussex. It has been an exciting whirlwind collaboration. Her Royal Highness is a truly beautiful inspiring woman, a bright shining light in this world and we at THEIA are truly honored to be part of The Royal Tour of Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.” Shares Don O’Neill

‘The Romanoffs’ New York Premiere

'The Romanoffs' New York Premiere

Amazon Prime Video hosted the New York premiere of ‘The Romanoffs’ at the Russian Tea Room on Thursday (October 11).

Diane Lane: Diane will always be one of those actress’ I will forever hold in high regards due to her talent, style and grace, and she looked ever so graceful in this Akris suit. The look had me swooning at every turn; from the velvet fabric, colour and style that was formal, yet not ridged. I love how she kept the green theme going with the Gabriela Hearst ‘Demi’ bag.

Amanda Peet: I know some of you don’t like step-hem, or mullet dresses, but there’s something about this Michael Kors Collection Fall 2018 dress that feels very modern to me.

Cara Buono: Between Diane’s green velvet suit and Cara’s blue bell sleeve textured jacquard dress from Theia’s Fall 2018 collection, I’m getting a lot of festive feels from this red carpet.

2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many modes of so-called glamour were represented at the 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday (November 13) in Brooklyn, New York. Here’s a look at some of the other femmes in attendance.

Sailor Brinkley: Simple seduction was precisely what this ZAC Zac Posen Resort 2018 sequin slip gown was all about—with Sailor’s romantic ringlets to follow form.

Yolanda Hadid: For Yolanda, an LBD meant a long black dress in this Akris gown that smartly hinted at seduction in the keyhole detail and side slit.

Sofia Coppola: Fresh and snappy, this Michael Kors Collection Resort 2018 floral frock brought a boldly printed twist to Sofia’s comfortable, no-nonsense style.

amfAR Los Angeles 2017

A crush of stars came out for amfAR Los Angeles 2017 on Friday (October 13) in Beverly Hills, California.

Heidi Klum: At this point, I’m always prepared to be disappointed with a Heidi look, but she actually stepped up to the plate in this Ralph & Russo Fall 2017 Couture gown that was a far more modern and sophisticated form of glittery glam for her.  The look was of course styled with Lorraine Schwartz  jewels.

Dita Von Teese: Designer Ulyana Sergeenko and Dita are a perfect match, as can be seen in this Demi-Couture gown that prizes the feminine form with its provocative bustier silhouette and seductive thigh slit.

Kate Hudson: Playing to her buzz cut, Kate kept it cool and mod in this David Koma Resort 2018 gown that scintillated with mirror-like embellishment.  A Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch completed her look.

Janelle Monae In Zuhair Murad – Lord & Taylor Celebrates The Dress Address

Had I worked every red carpet during awards season like Janelle Monae, I would be taking a well deserved break; relaxing on a beach somewhere, but the singer/actress was back on the red carpet helping Lord & Taylor celebrate The Dress Address at their 5th Avenue store on Thursday (March 23) in New York City.

Dressed to impress, Janelle wore a black (naturally) Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 dress which judging by her pose, made her feel very girlie and dainty.

While the look does have an Elie Saab feel about it, I like how she put on own stamp on this look with booties and her signature hair accoutrements.

Priyanka Chopra In Theia – 21st Lion’s Gold Awards

Priyanka Chopra In Theia - 21st Lion's Gold Awards

Priyanka Chopra attended the 21st Lion’s Gold Awards ceremony in Mumbai on Tuesday (January 6) where she picked up an award for her film, ‘Mary Kom’.

Oozing elegance, the Bollywood beauty was working a 50s-style look, donning a Theia Spring 2014 bright pink brocade tea-length party dress with a black boat-neck crepe bodice.

This fit-and-flare style is anything but demure with its vibrant pink skirt, but the look was toned down with Jimmy Choo nude and black mesh pumps, Vinita Michael vintage earrings and a chic updo.
