Comic-Con 2017 Weekend Roundup

A constellation of more stars were at Comic-Con 2017 in San Diego, California throughout this past weekend.

Naomi Watts: Attending the ‘Twin Peaks: A Damn Good Panel,’ Naomi played to a vintage spirit in this Roksanda Resort 2018 colour-block design. Perhaps it was the combination of hues that had somewhat of an aging effect on her.

Krysten Ritter: Taking a graphic, black-and-white approach, Krysten was at ‘Marvel’s The Defenders’ press line in a Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2017 dress. I love the striking attitude of the look in partnership with her ruby-red lip and Kurt Geiger booties for a touch of rebel edge.

Kaley Cuoco: This exploded Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 pinstripe shirt dress translated more like an afterthought with the slouchy, undone front and the head-scratching, chunky shoes when Kaley stopped by ‘The Big Bang Theory’ panel.

AnnaSophia Robb In Creatures of the Wind – 2017 TriBeCa Ball

AnnaSophia Robb attended the 2017 Tribeca Ball at the New York Academy of Art on Monday (April 3) in New York City.

I love how this Creatures of the Wind Spring 2017 blue and white gingham blazer is cut to contour the body with angular shoulders and a darted waist to enhance the feminine silhouette.

I’m really glad she opted for not to wear the runway skirt, as I feel it would’ve had an ageing effect.

Styled with leggings and Jerome C. Rousseau pumps, AnnaSophia presents a fresh approach to spring dressing.

2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards Red Carpet Roundup

More stars were also in attendance at the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (February 25) in Santa Monica, California.

Danielle Brooks: The ‘OITNB’ actress took the plunge in an Urban Zen by Donna Karan wrap jersey tunic and pant, complemented by a body chain—as if enough attention wasn’t already directed to the girls.

Natasha Lyonne: The actress took a custom Creatures of The Wind rose and green floral dresses out for a spin. The pleated frock held promise, but I couldn’t see the forest for the trees given the clunky, distracting styling with the oversized white clutch and ivory boots.

Hailee Steinfeld In Creatures of the Wind & Dolce & Gabbana – Jimmy Kimmel Live & ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ LA Premiere

Hailee Steinfeld In Creatures of the Wind & Dolce & Gabbana - Jimmy Kimmel Live & 'Pitch Perfect 2' LA Premiere

Hailee Steinfeld was spotted two days in a row in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (May 7) and Friday (May 8), where she stopped by ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ before attending the ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ premiere the next night.

Jimmy Kimmel Live
: The flirty, retro silhouette of this Creatures of the Wind Fall 2015 frock was given a darker, moody spin thanks to the trippy black-and-beige patterning and abstracted floral print, which the starlet paired with Marina B jewels. I love the graphic appeal of the dress, which is given a youthful, lighthearted touch in her messy side braid and the quirky addition of the black platform shoes.

‘Pitch Perfect 2’ LA Premiere
: Again walking on a darker side, she worked a goth prairie girl vibe in a Dolce & Gabbana dress, as she joined Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Banks at the premiere at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. While I cannot fathom liking this look at any other time, she wore it so well with her relaxed waves and statement cocktail rings, that I cannot really fault it.

Lena Dunham In Creatures of the Wind – ‘Girls’ Season Four Premiere

Lena Dunham In Creatures of the Wind - ‘Girls’ Season Four Premiere

Lena Dunham joined her co-stars Allison Williams and Zosia Mamet for the season four premiere of ‘Girls’ held at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday (January 5) in New York City.

With her Giambattista Valli Couture ensemble (which I still maintain that I liked) being your least favourite look of 2014, you will be delighted to see her kick-start 2015 on a high note.

Lena, looking perhaps her best yet, wore a Creatures of the Wind Spring 2015 Japanese crepe cold-shoulder black dress enhanced with bronze, aqua-blue, green and yellow sequin embroidery.

The design is flattering, the colours vibrant, and the styling, which included Irene Neuwirth jewels and black sandals, couldn’t have been a more perfect way to complete this stunning look.

It’s a first, but I love it from head to toe.

What say you?

Elle Fanning In Jenny Packham & Creatures of the Wind – ‘Young Ones’ New York Promo Tour

Elle Fanning - 'Young Ones' New York Promo Tour

It was a very busy day for young Elle Fanning who sported three looks in one day while promoting her latest movie, ‘Young Ones’.

‘Letterman’ arrival: Elle arrived for her guest appearance on ‘Letterman’ wearing an uncompromisingly feminine knee-length nude Jenny Packham Resort 2015 dress with delicate gold embellishments beautifully accented with a black bow and waistband.

‘Letterman’: For Elle’s second look, the mood changed from sweet to more mature. I love how her dress has been flawlessly crafted, with the gathering at the front creating soft volume through the skirt punctuated by beautiful cascading floral embroidery. Some might deem this age-inappropriate, but I think she rocks the look with elegance and maturity – plus, those fuchsia satin pumps are making me go weak at the knees.

‘Young Ones’ New York Premiere: Elle’s final look of the day consisted of yet another bold-hued shoe, but methinks that’s not the first place many will look. I think this Creatures of the Wind Spring 2014 featuring a colourful bralet is perfectly balanced with a high-waisted black skirt. Somehow, once again, I don’t think the majority will agree.

Here we have one predictable look and two that are slightly out of the box for Elle. It has been said that you like stars like SJP and Cate Blanchett for taking risks with fashion, so are you going to be embracing these two new looks from Elle?

Elle Fanning In Creatures of the Wind & Marni – The Variety Studio: Awards Edition Event

You all pretty much hated Elle Fanning’s last red carpet look, so hopefully she managed to redeem herself when she attended The Variety Studio: Awards Edition event, held at a private residence in LA on Wednesday.

The young actress wore a simple Fall look, donning a burgundy Marni sweater from the Fall 2012 collection with a black A-line Creatures of the Wind skirt with a high waist and dainty bow accent from the Spring 2013 collection.

Keeping the styling super simple, the actress opted for Marni ankle-strap black wedges to complete her look.

Did she redeem herself?
