Zoe Kazan In Valentino Haute Couture – ‘The Kindness Of Strangers’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon Features Zoe Kazan In Valentino Haute Couture - 'The Kindness Of Strangers' Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Zoe Kazan joined Juliette Binoche, Andie Macdowell and Toni Garrn for the ‘The Kindness Of Strangers’ premiere during the 2019 Berlinale International Film Festival on Thursday (February 7) in Germany.

If you were missing something from the other looks, Zoe’s Valentino floor-sweeping ruffle gown carries the romance of couture.

Sequins draw out the colour palette of the painterly florals adding a second layer of magic to this spell-binding piece, which some might say is predictable a predictable look for Zoe, but I would say it’s classic.

When it comes to the hair and makeup, the route was typically no-fuss.

2018 Governors Awards

2018 Governors Awards

The 2018 Governors Awards on Sunday (November 18) in Hollywood, California were a star-studded affair. Lovely ladies joined Rosamund Pike and Lupita Nyong’o.

Emily Blunt: The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ actress glimmered in a custom Dundas top and skirt with Jimmy Choo shoes and David Yurman jewels. Despite the plethora of crop tops we have seen, this sharp-shouldered style held my attention thanks to the luxurious mix of metallics.

Gemma Chan: The flowing shape of the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star’s Stella McCartney ensemble was accented with the pleated shoulder detail. The finishing touches and wrinkles bring it down slightly.

Amy Adams: She lightened up in a whimsical Schiaparelli gown. The refined silhouette balances the girlish pink tones and heart detail. A crushed velvet Tyler Ellis clutch brought in more feminine charm.

Zoe Kazan In Prada – ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ AFI Gala

Zoe Kazan In Prada - 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs' AFI Gala

Zoe Kazan posed arm-in-arm with partner Paul Dano at ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ AFI Gala on Sunday (November 11) in Hollywood, California.

The actress had a charming turn in a Prada dress in the palest of muted pinks.

The cascade of embellishment and stronger makeup prevented the style from washing her out while the pleated wrap detail across the bodice added a sharp architectural element to the delicate tulle fabric.

There is a balletic sentiment about the look which was enhanced with the blush accessories and high bun.

Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards

Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards

Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards took place on Sunday (November 4) in Los Angeles, California, where Rosamund Pike was joined by a host of other ladies.

Regina Hall: With a classic silhouette, this Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids Paige strapless ruffle gown is so simple and elegant that it sells itself.

Zoe Kazan: Also opting for purple, I knew it was only a matter for time before we saw Zoe jump on The Vampire’s Wife love boat. I do love the way she styled her look with maroon pumps for a deep contrast.

Zoe Kazan In Honor – ‘Wildlife’ London Film Festival Premiere

Zoe Kazan In Honor - 'Wildlife' London Film Festival Premiere

Zoe Kazan was joined by her Gucci-clad beau Paul Dano on the red carpet for the ‘Wildlife’ premiere during the BFI London Film Festival on Thursday (October 13).

Following her last red carpet look, this Honor gown was infinitely better, as it was far more flattering.

Yes, this look sits firmly in her wheelhouse with the Victorian influences, ruffles and high collar, but for me, this is one of her best looks so far during this promo tour as it was oozing romanticism.

Zoe Kazan In Miu Miu – ‘The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs’ London Film Festival Premiere

Zoe Kazan In Miu Miu - 'The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs' London Premiere

Zoe Kazan attended the UK premiere of ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ during the 62nd BFI London Film Festival on Friday (October 12).

The actress wore pink silk Miu Miu pink gown which didn’t have any of the traits – such as the crystal embellishments – that have become signatures of the fashion house.

If I’m honest, I don’t like the gown.

Aside from the pretty colour and print, I don’t find the look flattering. Like at ALL. It feels like fabric was draped around her with no real idea in place.

I know some of you hold theories that she’s expecting baby number two, and if you weren’t, these pictures might just enable you to share that view.

Zoe Kazan In Valentino Haute Couture – Netflix’s ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ NYFF Screening

Zoe Kazan In Valentino Haute Couture - Netflix's 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs' NYFF Red Carpet

Zoe Kazan has gone from promoting ‘Wildlife,’ to ‘The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs’ during the 56th New York Film Festival on Thursday (October 4) in New York City.

The actress attended the screening wearing a Valentino Spring 2018 Haute Couture dress, which I will admit to that I wasn’t too fond of at first, but the look swiftly grew on me.

From afar, the colour kinda looked like musty old net curtains, but when you take on the details and frills in the close up, the look takes on more an ethereal feel, which sits firmly in Zoe’s wheelhouse.

Her best decision, I feel, was the keep the berry-hued sash, and complementary lip, as this prevented her from appearing washed out in this nude colour.

Carey Mulligan In Valentino & Zoe Kazan In Erdem – ‘Wildlife’ New York Film Festival Premiere

Carey Mulligan In Valentino & Zoe Kazan In Erdem - 'Wildlife' New York Film Festival Premiere

Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan were also in attendance during the New York Film Festival for the premiere of ‘Wildlife’ on Sunday (September 30).

Carey Mulligan: Even though Carey often likes to keep her style simple, she veered towards slightly more extravagance in this Valentino Resort 2019 dress — and the result was quietly stunning. While the silhouette was conservative, the all-over shimmering sequin embellishment that playfully spelled out ‘Valentino’ shone brightly.

Zoe Kazan: The signature florals of the Erdem label were in full bloom with this Resort 2019 gown that celebrated a nod to delicate, faintly Victorian femininity in the flutter sleeve and ruffled skirt.

Zoe Kazan In Schiaparelli Haute Couture – ‘Wildlife’ Cannes Film Festival Screening

‘Wildlife’ was screened during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 9), with co-writer Zoe Kazan in attendance with her boyfriend, fellow co-writer and director Paul Dano, plus star Carey Mulligan.

The actress wore an ethereal Schiaparelli Spring 2018 Haute Couture pleated dress which makes a romantic impression, in skin-flattering shades of beige, blush and powdery pink.

As someone with a penchant for embellishments, I love the subtle detailing which adds a touch of opulence to the look.

Front Row @ Miu Miu Fall 2018

The Miu Miu Fall 2018 show was held on Tuesday (March 6) during Paris Fashion Week, with a front row of stylish stars in attendance.

Rowan Blanchard: The starlet completely had me charmed in her darling, bow-accented frock. The whole look from top to toe worked for her, partly by virtue of her youth, which allowed her to likewise pull off the embellished sandals, coral eye shadow, and choker.

Rami Malek: Who knew a mauve suit could look so hip. I like the inner-facing racing stripes for a twist on the sporty standard.

Rachel Brosnahan: There was a sweet, vintage sensibility to this multi-colour polka-cot, ruched frock and its bow-topped shoulders. Rachel fully embraced the spirit, too, with her headband and coral-pink lip, finishing the look with the familiar, quirky Miu Miu platforms.

Zoe Kazan In Miu Miu – 2018 SAG Awards

Zoe Kazan attended the 2018 SAG Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 21).

The ‘The Big Sick’ actress and nominee wore a floral Miu Miu gown with blush pearl and diamond earrings for her turn down the red carpet.

I am almost taken off guard by how simple and conventional this gown is, considering Zoe’s penchant for the unique and extreme when it comes to her red carpet fashion choices.

The floral print is quite pretty, and the neckline beautifully accentuates her shoulders and posture.

A matte red lip and bronzed eye, plus her voluminous curls are lovely and apropos for the gown.

Zoe Kazan In Valentino – 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards

Zoe Kazan made a romantic statement at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday (January 11) in Santa Monica, California, joining Kate Bosworth and Gal Gadot.

‘The Big Sick’ actress’s M.O. is typically feminine styles with special detailing. This Valentino Spring 2018 gown is an elevated version of it.

The sheer bodice and arms add a new dimension to the mixture of textiles, but I am pleased additional layers of white were added to the dress so there isn’t any distracting underwear reveal.

I can see the yellow sleeve detail being bothersome to some, but the injection of the golden hue against the multicoloured dots has a modernity that balances the sweetness of the style.

The pale pink clutch put another surprising colour into the mix.
