Sarah Jessica Parker In Whistles & Baukjen – Out In New York

Sarah Jessica Parker In Whistles & Baukjen - Out In New York

For those still lamenting summer, shake it off, as celebs like Kerry Washington and Sarah Jessica Parker have marked the official start of statement coat season this week.

While promoting her new film ‘Here and Now,’ in New York City today (November 2), SJP offered a reminder of fall’s fashion upside.

I love how her Baukjen Fall 2018 ‘Milan’ boyfriend coat didn’t deter her from making a bolder statement with her Whistles ‘Jungle Cat’ pleated dress and SJP blue glitter pumps.

When it comes to her obstructive Les Petits Joueurs ‘Luna’ bag, I’ve had to make peace with the fact that cross-body bags are her thing, and look past it.

Sarah Jessica Parker In Emila Wickstead – The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Sarah Jessica Parker In Emila Wickstead - The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Sarah Jessica Parker made an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on Tuesday (October 30), where she spoke about the making of the 1993 comedy-horror flick, ‘Hocus Pocus,’ and her new movie ‘Here and Now.’

The actress wore an Emilia Wickstead Spring 2019 pink dress boasting a metallic sheen which suits her favoured romantic aesthetic.

Opting to shorten the length was the right thing for SJP to do to keep the look playful. The longer runway version would’ve given this more of a red carpet glamour gown vibe, rather than punchy TV show appearance.

I love how she enhanced the shimmer and shine of this exquisite piece with SJP Collection tinsel glitter pumps.

Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles Deacon Couture – 2018 New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala

Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles Deacon Couture - 2018 New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala

Some people look forward to Christmas, but I look forward to the start of the New York City Ballet Fall season, as that’s when we’re guaranteed and breath-taking moment from Sarah Jessica Parker, and she didn’t disappoint at the Gala on Thursday (September 27).

Teaming up with her designer who has given her many magic moments – 2013 Met Gala – Giles Deacon created this stunning open-back red Couture gown.

Some might not like the puffy shoulders and skirt together, but I love the drama both bring to the table, along with the sheer sleeves and frilly cuffs.

The only thing I wish she has done worn her hair back, as it seems fussy with those shoulders.

Sarah Jessica Parker In Prabal Gurung – ‘Here And Now’ Deauville American Film Festival Premiere

Sarah Jessica Parker In Prabal Gurung - 'Here And Now' Deauville American Film Festival Premiere

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the ‘Here And Now’ premiere on September 6, 2018 in Deauville, France during the Film Festival.

Making herself the center of attention – like a disco ball casting twinkling light – the actress stepped onto the red carpet in Prabal Gurung.

Her Pre-Fall 2018 may be decked out in resplendent blue sequins, but it was the slit skirt, matched by the drama of the trumpet sleeves which first piqued my interest.

With a touch more flair added via the black velvet sash, the actress didn’t feel shy with a slight bra reveal to amp up the sex appeal.

Sarah Jessica Parker In Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda – 2018 Met Gala

Sarah Jessica Parker is one I always look forward to seeing at the Met Gala, as she so unabashedly dresses to theme. And, she didn’t disappoint for her 2018 showing on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

As per, there was an air of outright thematic extravagance in her sweeping Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gold filigree, heart-embellished gown.

But, despite the intricate embroidery, the ruffled sleeves, and the long cape-like train, I would say it was the fascinator balancing atop her head that really took the cake and stole the show.

The intricate nativity-scene headdress was a work of art in and of itself, adding to the unapologetically costume-fueled drama of her entrance.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Best Met Gala Fashion Looks Of All Time

When it comes to the Met Gala, there is NO ONE more committed to the theme than Sarah Jessica Parker, which is why her absence was so notable last year.

She loves drama, a Philip Treacy headpiece and most of all, she loves to have fun with it.

Below is a look at all of SJP’s fashion moments from the gala. Rate your favourite.

1995 – Freshman Year
Theme: Haute Couture

SJP attended her first Met Gala back in 1995. The theme was Haute Couture, the dress was simple black velvet. It’s almost hard to believe the SJP we all now know and love would ever play it this safe. It would be 10 years later before she would be invited to the Met Gala again.
