Sarah Jessica Parker Wore Iris van Herpen Haute Couture To The New York City Ballet 2025 Fall Fashion Gala
The New York City Ballet 2025 Fall Fashion Gala, also known as the Sarah Jessica Parker Gala, took place at the David H. Koch Theater in New York City on Wednesday.

I call it the Sarah Jessica Parker Gala because, at this point, it’s her night. Each year, she sets the tone and expectation for fashion magic — and this year, she delivered once again.
Sarah Jessica Parker stepped onto the red carpet wearing an Iris van Herpen Fall 2025 Haute Couture creation that defied convention. The sculptural black lattice design, with its wing-like shapes, gave her an ethereal presence. It’s a piece that blurs the line between art and fashion — equal parts futuristic and poetic.

It reminds me of a dark, celestial creature — part phoenix, part butterfly — caught mid-transformation. The dress has a fluid, aerodynamic quality, as if she’s emerging from a cocoon or taking off into the night. It’s otherworldly, almost as if couture met science fiction.

Some might find it a little ostentatious for the occasion. Personally, I think this dress needed someone taller — hence the bunching of fabric around her waist — but I’m here for the drama and the spectacle of it all.
