Front Row @ Versace Pre-Fall 2019

Pre-Fall collections are perhaps seen as the less interesting or sexy of all the collections presented, but now it seems that they are just as important at Fall and Spring, with big budget shows and A-list front rows.

Following Dior Men and Valentino last week, Versace presented their Pre-Fall 2019 collection in New York City on Sunday (December 2).

Diane Kruger: What a way to showcase your post-baby figure, in a Versace Spring 2019 mini no less. I can’t say the chunky belt is working for me here, but she’s still looking every inch a yummy mummy.

Ciara: While this Spring 2019 Versace suit showcases the brand tailoring, I would’ve loved something a bit more extravagant from Ciara, but the Versace medallion necklace and ruffle hem did prevent this from being a snooze.

Blake Lively: The actress shelved her favoured suit for an iconic Versace chainmail dress from the Spring 1999 collection. I love the ’90s spirit imbued in this look from the dress to the bountiful curls. I just wish she’d eased up on the jewels.

2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala

2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala

There was plenty more glamour on display on the red carpet at the 2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday (November 3) in Los Angeles, California, joining Kiki Layne, Zoe Kravitz and Rowan Blanchard.

Dakota Johnson: I know sheer yokes aren’t favoured by most, but this Gucci look could’ve translated as too heavy and gothic-like for Dakota without it.

Salma Hayek: Seeing Salma in this Gucci gold gown, it’s feels like it would’ve been perfect for the ’80s soap Dynasty. The jewel play their part too.

Paris Jackson In Gucci & Balmain – Michael Jackson Diamond Birthday Celebration

Paris Jackson In Gucci & Balmain - Michael Jackson Diamond Birthday Celebration

August 29 is a tough date for the family of the late great Michael Jackson.

This year’s birthday was a milestone — 60 years since MJ was born — and his children and other loved ones did not let it go unnoticed by hosting a party in his honour in Las Vegas.

The first look is very Paris Jackson full of boho and ’70s inspiration.

As a lover of print colour and prints, I was instantly drawn to her cropped pants. Some would’ve paired them with a solid top, but Paris wasn’t afraid to add more colour and texture with her Gucci sequin t-shirt. John Lennon-inspired shades and Giuseppe Zanotti platforms completed her look.

For her second look Paris opted to go glam.

This Balmain fuchsia pink dress has more than a touch of the early ’00s to it, with the style and cut. I think this dress would’ve been better suited to the other Paris; Hilton, but when in Vegas, do as they do.

Another pair of Zanotti shoes completed her look, along with a heavy selection of jewels.

Prince Michael Jackson paid homage to his late father wearing a red military-inspired jacket.

Paris Jackson In Dolce & Gabbana – 2018 Life Ball

Paris Jackson is certainly making the most of her summer.

Last week she was in France for the Dior Cruise show, and on Saturday she was in Vienna, Austria, for the 2018 Life Ball.

Channelling sensual elegance in Dolce & Gabbana, I love how the bustier design focuses on the lightly embellished tulle ruffles rather than the sheerness.

Paris likes to portray a rock chick persona often on the red carpet, but here I see a different side to her style, without too much compromise.

As the annual charity event raises funds for HIV & AIDS projects, I love how the red clutch helps highlight her ribbon in support of World Aids Day.

Front Row @ Dior Cruise 2019

There were stars aplenty at the front row of the Dior Cruise 2019 show in Chantilly, France on Friday (May 25).

Olivia Cooke: The ‘Ready Player One’ actress’s Dior white embroidered blouse with white wool and silk crepe shorts and skirt had a unified finish but plenty of interesting detail. From this position, the effect of the layered bottoms is almost lost. It would have been better if there was a greater separation of the pieces or if there was only one. Dior shoes and a Dior ‘Pochette’ printed clutch contrasted the snowy hues.

Paris Jackson The model played straight into a bohemian aesthetic in a Dior multicolor patchwork dress which was accessorized with a Dior ‘Defile Summer’ bag, plenty of necklaces and strappy sandals. Given the ornate detail of the dress, I’m sure some would have favored a cleaner look, but it feels true to who she is.

Stella McCartney @ 2018 Met Gala

Paris Jackson, Stella McCartney and Miley Cyrus attended the 2018 Met Gala together on Monday night (May 7) in New York City.

Paris Jackson: Outfitted in custom Stella McCartney, the model glided across the carpet. The layers of rich copper suited her bohemian spirit, but I anticipate many feeling this is more of a princess look rather than something that fits into the night’s theme.

Stella McCartney: Many have been wearing voluminous silhouettes from the designer lately and she showcased the grandest display with her gravity-defying overstuffed sleeves. Even with the ladies linked on her arms, the silhouette is still dramatic. Kwiat Diamonds provided the sparkle.

Miley Cyrus: She took the plunge in a sensual black Stella McCartney gown which was as risqué from the back as it was the front. Many might be wondering how the theme fit in apart from the black colour palette. The singer’s neck was decorated with golden cross necklaces and she donned a belly chain which featured a small cross at the center back.
