2018 Emmy Awards Menswear Roundup

2018 Emmy Awards Menswear Roundup

The men also had their style moment at the 2018 Emmy Awards on Monday (September 17) in LA, with many of the boys showing their older peers how it’s done.

Noah Schnapp: Can a look be simultaneously cute and cool? Yes, it can, with this Fendi Made to Measure Suit that had all the cool-kid, retro-forward charm you can possibly imagine for this ‘Stranger Things’ actor.

Dacre Montgomery: Something about this Brunello Cucinelli tux styled with Montblanc studs and Jimmy Choo ‘Penn’ shoes had a prom-meets-Victorian flavor. Must have been the corsage and the mustache.

Joe Keery: The ‘Stranger Things’ actor got in on the cropped trend with this Dolce & Gabbana blue suit paired with a Montblanc watch and cufflinks. Speaking of prom, his hair always reminds me of a throwback dance moment.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

It’s been a busy week when it comes to mens fashion, so here is our roundup.

Jared Leto: The ‘Thirty Seconds to Mars’ star made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ where he donned a Gucci Cruise 2019 look consisting of a technicolor sweater and fiyah red trouser. Let’s hope that bin bag contains some of his less fortunate red carpet looks.

Channing Tatum: The actor was recently in London to present ‘Magic Mike Live’. While I’m not usually a fan of cropped trousers on men, this Arcady pair was looking very sharp, especially when paired with his palm-print shirt. Timberland shoes completed his look.

Winston Duke: The one thing I wanted ahead of the 2018 World Cup was to get my hands on the Nigerian football kit (and my heritage is Sierra Leone), but the entire collection sold out in around 3 minutes. The Trinidadian American wore his Nike tracksuit, in true naija fashion with a gold chain plus high-top sneakers.

2018 Oscars & Oscar Parties Menswear Roundup

Many of the men brought their A game to the 2018 Oscars and Oscars parties, including the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday (March 4) in California.

Chadwick Boseman: The ‘Black Panther’ star continued his reign of sartorial power in this Givenchy Haute Couture suit that was inspired by a full look in the Spring 2018 collection. However, I love how he made the long, embellished jacket his own—sleekly styling it with black shirting and trousers and the zipper-accented shoes.

Donald Glover: This Gucci tux such a handsome-luxe approach with the velvet jacket taking it to the next level in partnership with the relaxed-suave appeal of the slipper shoes. A David Yurman ring completed the look.

Tom Holland: Sometimes double-breasted jackets can come across as a bit contrived, but I love how Tom wore this Hermès suit so sharply. It was a standout on the Oscars red carpet with his Piaget watch adding that final touch.

Lakeith Stanfield In Ermenegildo Zegna Couture – ‘Sorry To Bother You’ and ‘Come Sunday’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Lakeith Stanfield pulled double duty at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah,, attending the ‘Sorry To Bother You’ premiere on Saturday (January 20) before the ‘Come Sunday’ premiere on Sunday (January 21).

‘Sorry To Bother You’ Premiere: With a head-to-toe Ermenegildo Zegna Couture look, Lakeith brought a distinct urban edge to snowy Park City with this burnt-orange, notch-lapel suit with matching jogger trousers from the Spring 2018 runway collection. A printed knit top, black cap, and black Tiziano sneakers followed the way of the joggers to complete the sportier mood.

‘Come Sunday’ Premiere: Speaking of, the athleisure trend was alive and well in this Ermenegildo Zegna Couture gray wool knit top with orange trim detail styled with matching gray wool jogger pants and the same black Tiziano sneakers. Some may say that Lakeith looked as if he was heading to the gym rather than to a premiere, and I would agree, although I still liked the stylistic ease of the look.
