American Film Institute’s 46th Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to George Clooney

There were many more A-Listers joining Cate Blanchett, Anna Kendrick and Amal Clooney and for the American Film Institute’s 46th Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to George Clooney on Thursday (June 7) in Hollywood, California.

Jennifer Aniston: The breath-taking construction of this bodice makes me realise how much I miss seeing the craftsmanship of Christian Lacroix Haute Couture on the red carpet.

Cindy Crawford: The super model was serving up pure elegance in this Stella McCartney one-shoulder gown. Granted it’s nothing new, but you can’t deny that with minimal effort Cindy is a vision here. There was plenty of sparkle to be had via her Jimmy Choo ‘Cayla’ clutch, gold sandals and earrings.

Julianna Margulies: The actress is always radiant on the red carpet. On this occasion she opted for midnight blue, over her favoured black. I love the silhouette of this Vionnet Fall 2014 Couture dress, but I’m not sure of the design from the bustle downwards. A Jimmy Choo ‘Vivienne’ clutch completed her look.

Julianna Margulies In ADEAM – Physicians for Human Rights 2018 Gala

Julianna Margulies cut a sophisticated figure at the Physicians for Human Rights 2018 Gala on Wednesday (May 2) in New York City.

Deep forest green may not be a colour that gets a lot of attention on the red carpet, but when done right, it can be very striking.

The actress’s ADEAM Fall 2018 dress brings out her raven hair and pale complexion.

With the golden bronze shoes, it has such a polished finish.

The structured silhouette with side pleat is flattering, not contrived and has such a quiet elegance demonstrating that an outfit doesn’t always need to shout to be noticed.

Julianna Margulies In Thom Browne – The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala

Julianna Margulies was in attendance at the 2018 The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 9) in New York City, alongside Saoirse Ronan and Lupita Nyong’o.

Black is one of the actress’s signatures so I wasn’t surprised to see that she opted for this Thom Browne Resort 2018 dress.

She removed the layers from the lookbook so the feminine silhouette and the surprise rainbow stripes on the uneven hem didn’t get lost.

The tiny trim was the only colourful addition as she accessorized with a black clutch and cut-out heels.

It was simple, chic and timeless.

Julianna Margulies In Gabriela Hearst – 2017 Inspire A Difference Honors Event

Julianna Margulies was representing Erin’s Law and The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, during the 2017 Inspire A Difference Honors event on Thursday (November 2) in New York City.

Modern minimalism comes in the form of this Gabriela Hearst Resort 2018 jumpsuit.

The actress pretty much exclusively wears black, but this look was far from boring as it was so very, very chic.

End Of The Week Roundup

With so many looks over the past week, here is a roundup of a few that were missed in the red carpet crush of events.

Julie Ann Emery: Joining Jenny Slate at the ‘Gifted’ LA premiere on Tuesday (April 4), Julie Ann embraced a minimalist angle in this Ingie Paris gown that was lovely for its aura of simplicity, although it seemed to fall a tad long at the front.

Olivia Culpo: Speaking of minimalism, this greige Cushnie et Ochs asymmetric jumpsuit was an easy-chic offering. But, it really just played second fiddle to her ultra-bronzed beauty at the grand opening celebration of the W Las Vegas on Friday (March 31).

Jess Weixler:‏ Visually enticing, the crisp white lines of this Jason Wu gown punctuated its rich burgundy hue. I only wish the actress had opted for a sleeker updo at ‘The SON’ LA premiere on Monday (April 3).

Julianna Margulies In Giambattista Valli – 17th Annual Project A.L.S. New York City Gala

Julianna Margulies In Giambattista Valli - 17th Annual Project ALS New York City Gala

Julianna Margulies attended the 17th annual Project A.L.S. New York City Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on Wednesday (October 28) in New York City.

Having a beautifully mod moment, the actress wore a Giambattista Valli Resort 2016 dress that was awash in delightful rosy shades and a cool geometric pattern.

Normally, black tights would be a no-go, but they actually succeed in making the dress that much more vibrantly impactful.

The black clutch, on the other hand, was entirely too big and distracting.
