Sarah Paulson Is Back in Her Fashion Sweet Spot in Dior
Sarah Paulson joined Kim Kardashian at Soho House in Mexico City on Tuesday for the presentation of season two of All’s Fair, continuing the cast’s promotional tour following their appearances in Rome.
It’s rare for me to prefer a photocall look over a premiere look, but Sarah’s shimmering black Dior coat dress easily wins over her Miu Miu gown. This is much closer to the Sarah Paulson style I love, where sharp tailoring, interesting proportions and a little eccentricity
The plunging neckline adds a sexier element, while the exaggerated shoulders and nipped-in waist makes the proportions even more interesting. This is exactly the kind of tailoring I love to see from Sarah.
The polka-dot Dior clutch and matching heels were inspired choices. Against all those black sequins, the spots introduce a quirky contrast that feels entirely in keeping with her personal style. I can’t imagine this look having quite the same appeal with conventional black accessories.
And then there are the earrings. Sarah has now given us four consecutive looks featuring statement earrings, and this Dior floral pair might be my favourite yet. I’m loving this emerging jewellery theme, especially as each pair has brought something different to her look.
