Sandra Hüller Goes from Sculptural Drama to Red Velvet
Sandra Hüller was back on the red carpet for the Fatherland gala premiere, held at the Royal Festival Hall during the 2026 BFI London Film Festival this evening, following her screening of Rose the night before.

While her previous look was all about structure and silhouette, this one was all about colour, as the German actress arrived wearing a custom red velvet gown by Cong Tri.
I love the tuxedo inspiration, the colour, of course, and the sleek contrast of the satin lapels against the velvet. The strong shoulders are another detail I appreciate, but I’m not entirely convinced by the length.
There’s some bunching around the waist, which suggests the dress is simply too long, causing the fabric to gather rather than fall smoothly.
Length aside, I think this is a gorgeous look on Sandra. The gold necklace and earrings are the perfect finishing touches, and I’m especially happy to see her embracing such a vibrant hue.
