Selena Gomez Signals Autumn in Brown Suede in Venice

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were spotted departing the Orient Express following their arrival at Santa Lucia railway station in Venice on Sunday.

While neither has a project tied to the Venice Film Festival, which starts on Wednesday, I wouldn’t rule out seeing them at an event or two while they’re in the city.

Temperatures are cooling – I actually wore a sweater for the first time today – so I’m ready for some autumnal inspiration, which Selena delivered with this tonal brown look.

You might be looking at the gold horsebit details and thinking Gucci. After all, the house is synonymous with the motif, but Selena is actually wearing a RIXO Edwina suede midi skirt, styled with a matching brown sleeveless turtleneck.

The skirt is doing most of the work for me. The rich chocolate-brown suede and gold hardware immediately put me in an autumn frame of mind, while the simple turtleneck keeps the focus on those details.

Those slouchy brown boots aren’t my favourite style, but I can see why they were selected. They continue the colour palette and work better here than introducing another colour would have.
