Naomi Osaka Serves Archival Dolce & Gabbana Before the US Open
Naomi Osaka isn’t set to play her first-round US Open match against Anastasia Zakharova until Sunday, August 30, but the two-time champion is already serving.

If fashion were a sport – and sometimes I think it is – Naomi would be a perennial Grand Slam contender.
Arriving at the US Open, she wore an archival Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2003 ‘Love and Sex’ draped mini dress, defined by its cascading ruching and asymmetric neckline.

Naomi skipped the ‘SEX’ choker seen on the runway, which was definitely the right call. Instead, she added statement earrings and Sophia Webster butterfly sandals. The butterflies climbing around her ankles add another playful element to a dress that already has plenty of personality.
Naomi clearly enjoys making fashion part of her sporting experience, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us when she steps onto centre court on Sunday. Whether it’s something elaborate or a look with a deeper connection to her heritage, we know she won’t treat her on-court fashion as an afterthought.
