For the world premiere of Disney+’s Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles last night, Miley Cyrus delivered a look that subtly bridged past and present.

Wearing a Swarovski crystal-draped Rabanne Spring 2024 dress by Julien Dossena, the singer leaned into a fun interpretation of the high-shine aesthetic that once defined her Disney-era alter ego, Hannah Montana.

The key piece of this look was the embellished T-shirt featuring Miley herself in character as Hannah Montana. The piece introduced a self-referential dimension – part archival callback, part commentary on pop iconography – recalling the visual language of fan merchandise while transforming it into a high-fashion statement.

The interplay between nostalgia and modernity was further underscored by Miley’s beauty choices: her signature blonde hair, styled in soft, undone layers with a fringe, nodded to the instantly recognisable Hannah Montana style.
