Lady Gaga Wore LUAR Performing At The Super Bowl LX Halftime Show
Lady Gaga made a surprise guest appearance partway through Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show on Sunday, delivering a salsa infused rendition of Die With a Smile, the song she originally recorded with Bruno Mars. Backed by Bad Bunny’s band, the performance felt integrated into his set, rather than reading as a detour.

This was not a cameo built on star power alone. Gaga’s contribution worked because her music was reframed through Bad Bunny’s musical language, reinforcing the collaborative, genre crossing spirit of the show. She appeared as a participant, not a centrepiece, and that distinction mattered.
Her fashion choice carried equal weight. Gaga wore a blue dress by Raul Lopez of LUAR, a designer of Dominican descent, which immediately grounded her appearance in cultural context. The look paid homage to salsa legend Celia Cruz, while the blue hue referenced the Puerto Rican flag, a direct nod to Bad Bunny’s heritage.

The symbolism continued in the details. A custom Flor de Maga corsage sat at the chest, created by Piers Atkinson. As Puerto Rico’s national flower, it deepened the narrative, further emphasised by red pumps and Gaga’s signature red lip.
Chopard Haute Joaillerie Collection earrings completed the ensemble, bringing a considered finish to a performance that felt respectful, and culturally attuned.
