Criminally Underrated of 2025: Archie Madekwe

Where is the applause for Archie Madekwe? Quietly and confidently, he has delivered one of the most consistent menswear runs of 2025, yet his name rarely dominates the fashion conversation in the way it should. But maybe that’s precisely what makes his style so compelling. He builds a wardrobe for himself, not one designed for attention.

Whether stepping out in Valentino, Prada, or Loewe, Archie understands proportion and so-called “clashing” colours. His tailoring never feels rigid, his styling never forced. And let’s not forget: he single-handedly made menswear polka dots a thing.

Yes, it may take a major press tour for the wider fashion world to catch up, but the groundwork is already there. Archie’s approach feels instinctive rather than performative — the mark of someone who knows exactly who he is. I’m hoping that in 2026, he’ll be impossible to ignore.
