Before we get into the menswear looks from the GQ Men of the Year party, here is a roundup from the menswear looks this week.
Merteuil Paris Premiere
Lucas Bravo joined his co-star Diane Kruger showing his usual flair for fashion in a Dries van Noten Fall 2025 suit, but my first reaction was: finally. A clean-shaven Lucas. This only adds to the elegant-but-playful French energy of his suit, which has a refined ’70s lounge feel that works perfectly on him. The standout, however, is the bow-accented shirt — adding just enough character to remind you he enjoys fashion without forcing the point.
Tiffany & Co.’s Holiday Celebration
Sam Nivola has been devoted to Dior Spring 2026 ever since it debuted, but for this Tiffany & Co. event he switched things up with a Thom Browne pinstripe suit. Even without the usual school-uniform twist, the boyish charm is still very much there. The finishing touch? A Tiffany & Co. Bird on a Rock brooch.
Jay Kelly LA Premiere
I’m very much on the fence when it comes to Louis Partridge’s red zip-up jacket under his grey Prada suit. On one hand, it’s cool and unexpected, and I always appreciate when a young actor tries something beyond the usual shirt-tie combo. On the other, I’m not entirely convinced the zip-up makes sense with this suit. It’s giving fashion-student-experimenting energy, which isn’t a bad thing, but I’m still debating whether it’s working.
2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
I found myself genuinely into Donald Glover’s Valentino Resort 2026 look — but only from the waist up. The smoking jacket is gorgeous, the frog-collar shirt feels like a playful nod to old-school formality, and the whole top half has a relaxed, charismatic charm that feels very him. The jeans, however, immediately flatten the mood. They aren’t disastrous, just underwhelming, as if he got halfway dressed and decided the lower half didn’t matter.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t World Premiere
The enthusiasm quickly returned upon seeing Justice Smith in his Valentino Resort 2026 look, because those embellished epaulette-style fringed shoulders are the sort of detail that can revive mood. If you’re sensing déjà vu, Colman Domingo wore a similar shoulder detail during the Venice Film Festival, and it had the same effect: instant charisma.

Callum Turner chose a custom Louis Vuitton brown single-breasted suit — and this is exactly the lane he should stay in. Clean lines, warm tones, unfussy choices. No gimmicks, no theatrics. Just Callum doing quiet luxury in a way that feels comfortable to him.
