Claire Foy Wore Maison Margiela To The ‘H Is For Hawk’ Zurich Film Festival Premiere
Claire Foy is back in the spotlight promoting her new film, H Is For Hawk, during the 2025 Zurich Film Festival. Understated glamour has always been her red carpet calling card, and in recent years she’s leaned heavily towards tailoring as her style of choice.

On this occasion, however, her Maison Margiela suit didn’t quite hit the mark. The oversized proportions felt less like the intentional deconstruction Margiela is celebrated for, and more like the suit was simply too big. The double-breasted jacket hung wide across her shoulders, while the equally loose trousers compounded the volume, leaving the silhouette heavy and without balance. One size down, and this could have been a sharp, modern tailoring moment.
Margiela’s tailoring usually thrives on clever twists and architectural edge, but here it read as borrowed-from-the-boys without offering that conceptual brilliance. The effect was that the suit wore her, rather than Claire commanding the look.
De Beers jewels completed her ensemble, though they weren’t enough to rescue a silhouette that felt more swampy than sleek.
Stylist: Jonathan Huguet.
