Alia Bhatt Wore Gucci To ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ Mumbai Premiere
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt attended the premiere of the Netflix series The Ba**ds of Bollywood* in Mumbai, India, but it was Alia’s look that turned the night into a fashion moment.

The last time she hit the red carpet, the Gucci ambassador made history in the house’s first-ever bespoke lehenga during Cannes Film Festival. That felt like a new beginning. This time, however, she went vintage—dipping into Gucci’s archives for a Tom Ford Fall/Winter 1996 slip dress, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
This was Tom Ford at his peak: sleek lines, and slinky sensuality that pushed boundaries while always maintaining sophistication. On Alia, it wasn’t about nostalgia; it was about how alive and relevant this era still feels today.

And with Demna preparing to unveil his first Gucci collection on Tuesday, the timing of this choice feels almost prophetic. Tom Ford restored Gucci’s glory in the ’90s through bold glamour. Will Demna return us to that same seductive territory, or pivot in a different direction altogether? I’d rather not manifest the latter, so let’s just pray for the glamour.

Alia kept her styling sharp but minimal with a sleek bun, Tiffany & Co. jewellery, and those iconic bone cuffs. Ranbir complement, looked polished in a crisp white jacket. Together they made a striking pair, but this was Alia’s moment—and Tom Ford’s Gucci has never looked more at home in 2025.
