Viola Davis Wore Ralph Lauren Collection To The Television Academy’s 27th Annual Hall Of Fame Ceremony
Viola Davis added yet another milestone to her legendary career on Saturday as she was inducted into the Television Academy’s 27th Annual Hall of Fame. Already one of the rare few to achieve EGOT status, Viola was celebrated for her extraordinary and transformative contributions to television—but it was her red carpet look that had just as much impact.
We haven’t seen much of her since the Cannes Film Festival, but this return proved worth the wait. Wearing a Ralph Lauren twist-front long-sleeve gown in a radiant, bold hue, Viola reminded us why bright colours are her most powerful fashion weapon. The cut-out detail revealed her sculpted abs, a nod to the impressive training she undertook for The Woman King in 2022—clearly a regime she’s maintained with discipline and style.
Her accessories were equally standout, with a 2015 Alexander McQueen embellished Knuckle clutch adding edge to the elegance. Yet even with such a striking dress and accessories, it was Viola’s hair that might just steal the show. Her voluminous curls framed her face beautifully, bringing an extra layer of glamour and personality to the look.
It was a night to honour her contributions to the industry, but once again Viola proved she knows how to own a red carpet moment, too.
