Keke Palmer Wore Atelier Versace To ‘The Pickup’ LA Premiere
Keke Palmer brought a touch of ’90s nostalgia to the world premiere of Amazon MGM Studios’ The Pickup in Los Angeles, stepping out in a one-shoulder Atelier Versace gown from the Fall 1996 collection.

She’s been on a serious archival streak in 2025, but this pewter grey, sheer silk dress might divide opinion. Its beaded detailing is undeniably glamorous, yet the top half feels a little unforgiving, flattening her bust and drawing attention to the exposed belly button—a detail that threw me off liking her Atelier Versace Vanity Fair Oscar Party dress.
Some might argue the design feels dated, but Keke leans into the era rather than fighting it. From the sultry attitude to those voluminous curls, she commits fully to the ’90s aesthetic, and that’s what makes it work on some level. While I’m not completely sold on the dress, I appreciate the boldness and the storytelling—it’s less about modernising and more about owning the archive moment.
