Cate Blanchett Wore Maison Margiela Couture To The 2023 BAFTAs

The Princess of Wales wasn’t the only one giving us a rerun on the red carpet at the 2023 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 19) in London.
The Queen of Repeats Cate Blanchett wore a Maison Margiela Couture black gown designed by John Galliano which she first wore to the 2015 Oscars.
Much like the Princess, Cate opted to switch up the styling.
Nothing was going to beat that turquoise floral bib necklace by Tiffany & Co. she wore the first time around, but I do love the softer elegance that her custom Louis Vuitton unique pearl necklace brings.

Her necklace was designed using repurposed stones featuring a central 23,78 cts Nigerian Tourmaline connected to hand-threaded rows of metallic Tahitian pearls, the necklace takes Louis Vuitton’s circular creativity approach one step further.
Subtly echoing the rigid lines of a Louis Vuitton trunk, the step-cut tourmaline has been given a second life, recovered from a previous High Jewellery design.
She also wears matching metallic Tahitian pearl earrings as well as a white gold and diamond ring from the Louis Vuitton Stellar Times High Jewelry collection.
Cate’s look was also styled with a #WithRefugees blue ribbon (which many other celebrities wore) to highlight the refugee crisis going on all over the world.
