Celebrity Fashion @ Wimbledon 2022

We are yet to see Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – who has been the Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since taking over from the Queen in 2016 – at Wimbledon, but there have been a host of celebrities who have been attending the event where the dress code is summer-smart and eco-conscious, as Wimbledon make a bid for the event to be more sustainable.

Starting with Sienna Miller who wore a guipure lace Ralph Lauren Collection off-the-shoulder dress which was a perfect way to support the Wimbledon Whites rule, which is the dress code for the tennis players.

I adore the dress as it’s such a fresh style for Sienna, but the accessories made no sense at all here, especially the shoes.

The same applies to Alexa Chung’s Ralph Lauren three-piece suit. Nice outfit, baffling footwear selection.

Michelle Dockery was by far my best dressed at this event.  

I have been living a SKIMS bodysuits, wide leg trousers summer wardrobe at present, and this look has inspired me to consider matching vests.

I’m here for Michelle’s styling too which included complementary accessories from Malone Souliers (shoes) and Aspinal of London (bag) plus a moon ring.

Daisy Edgar Jones was in a sunshine mood wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren silky lemon dress styled with Anny Nord sandals.

It’s the effortlessness and summery vibes for me.

I love Lashana Lynch’s crochet Ralph Lauren dress, but I’m not sold on the styling – with my objections mainly focused on the bag.

We have been head-scratching the last few red carpet outings from Charithra Chandran, so how did this navy, boxy look fair?

I would’ve loved to have seen her in a dressier, summerier look, but blue is a great colour for her.

A snake ring completed her look.

Simone Ashley fared much better in her slinky navy Ralph Lauren satin slip dress.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw made it a trio of navy looks, as the British actress looked as elegant as ever in a Polo Ralph Lauren printed look, which could be mistaken for PJs.

Are crochet bags trending?

Nicola Coughlan joined her ‘Bridgerton’ cast mates, but she didn’t get the navy memo.

I’m glad because her white Simone Rocha dress was the LWD needed while sipping a refreshing glass of Pimms before taking your seat in the sun on Center Court.

I’m choosing to ignore the black mules.

Style-wise, there are plenty of summery looks here. But it would be remiss of me to not point out how bad the footwear is on 80% of these looks.
