Black proved to be one of the dominant dress colours of the night at the 2022 Oscars — and even still, Billie Eilish managed to offer her own stylistic approach to the trend on Sunday (March 27) in Hollywood, California.

No bad guys here — just Oscar-nominated singer and songwriter Billie Eilish absolutely shutting down the red carpet in a dramatic black Gucci gown and its seemingly endless rows of ruffles.

The off-the-shoulder dress was gothic-yet-regal — with no shortage of structure and (in classic Billie fashion) a matching sleek black bob hairstyle that, in many ways, even elevated it.

While I feel like this gown swallows the singer up, even I can appreciate her commitment to the aesthetic. You do you, Billie.
