Charlize Theron Wore Christian Dior To The Santa Barbara Film Festival

Somehow, I totally missed Charlize Theron reuniting with her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ co-star Kristen Stewart at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival at Arlington Theatre on Friday (March 4) in California, where she presented the actress with the American Riviera Award.

It’s been quite some time since we saw Charlize on the red carpet, and she’s not big on the Instagram photoshoots like her peers.

I was surprised to learn this was a custom look from Dior.

Yes, she is a Dior ambassador, but usually when we see a custom design we can attribute it to a collection, but there are no fringed pieces in any of their recent collections.

However, the Spring 2022 runways were full of fringed dresses, Naomi Watts and Tracee Ellie Ross have both rocked fringed Proenza Schouler dresses, and with Rodarte, Salvatore Ferragamo, Rodarte, Fendi, Proenza Schouler, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Dries Van Noten all showcasing fringed dresses for Spring, I’m sure we will see a lot more.

At the right angle this look felt refreshing on Charlize who often plays it safe, but on the red carpet the look didn’t translate so well.
