Blake Lively Wore Georges Chakra Couture To The Empire State Building Celebration

Blake Lively was on hand to help the Empire State Building celebrate the return of UK travellers to New York with British Airways and NYC & Company on Monday (November 8) in New York City.

The occasion is being hailed as one of the pandemic milestones, as the ban was imposed two years ago.

The tourism industry will be relieved, as well as loved ones who can be finally reunited.

For the evening event, Blake wore a red satin taffeta Georges Chakra Fall 2021 Couture cold shoulder bow wrapped mini dress featuring ruby chandelier embellished detailing.

You can always rely on Blake to be on theme, and I’m detecting two here.

The most obvious one is the festive theme, as she’s all wrapped up and ready for the holidays.

The other, perhaps less obvious theme is red for ‘Red Notice,’ the Netlfix film her husband Ryan Reynolds has been promoting this month, ahead of the film’s release.

The diehard Louboutin girl opted to wear Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps on this occasion, which of course matched her dress in terms of colour and embellishment.

I don’t think it will be to everyone’s liking but I’m enjoying the sweet aesthetic.

We (or maybe I), expect sultrier looks from Blake, but this wasn’t the right occasion for it.

The dress fits the season. What more can you say?
