Emma Watson Wore Harris Reed To The 2021 Earthshot Prize Awards

Emma Watson joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the green carpet for the 2021 Earthshot Prize held at Alexandra Palace on Sunday (October 17).

The royal couple encouraged guests to wear, or re-wear, outfits with sustainability in mind, and as we know, this has been Emma Watson’s approach to the red carpet for quite some time, so you could say she was ahead of the curve.

Emma opted to wear a custom look from Harris Reed – who was thrusted into the limelight on the night of the Met Gala for creating a look in conjunction with Dolce & Gabbana for supermodel Iman.

Harris Reed created this look from up-cycled wedding gowns which had been donated to Oxfam.

I love the sentiment, but I’m struggling with certain aspects of the look, and the view from certain angles.

My initial feeling is that there are too many layers on the right as we view this.

I’m slightly bothered by the off-center neckline, but also aware that this was never to going to be inch perfect considering the materials used.

I think the notion of too much volume could’ve been overlooked had it not been for the bell-bottom trousers. They really threw the look off for me.

Cigarette pants would’ve been preferred.
