Lily Aldridge Wore Burberry For The Bvlgari B.Zero1 Fashion Week Party

Lily Aldridge joined her fellow Bvlgari ambassador Eiza González for Bvlgari B.Zero1 Fashion Week Kick Off party held at Le Bain in New York City on Wednesday (September 8).

If you looked at the supermodel and thought she was wearing Area, Christopher Kane, or Phillip Plein, I can see where you were coming from, because all of those designers have incorporated crystal fringe accents in their recent collections.

However, this look was designed by Burberry’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.

I’m not sure if this is a sneak peek at his upcoming Spring 2022 collection, or a custom design, but it doesn’t feel much like a Burberry design, however, the subversive details are very Riccardo Tisci.

Either way, I’m now very intrigued to see the next Burberry collection.

Back to Lily’s look, I think the bottom layer of fringes was one step too far, as it had me immediately thinking that she stepped onto the red carpet for the Country Music Association Awards.  

UPDATE: Thanks to Jules and Chris who shared that this Burberry outfit looks like it hails – or was inspired by – the Fall 2020 collection. The runway version has even more crystal fringe work.
