Jurnee Smollett Wore Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture To The 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards
The 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards took place at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (May 16) in Los Angeles, California.
This was Jurnee Smollett’s first red carpet appearance of the year, following her awards season run, and promotion of ‘Lovecraft Country’ was all virtual.
Her style has been impeccable virtually, but will it hold up on the red carpet?
Yes.
The actress wore an Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2021 Haute Couture teal jumpsuit which I don’t think will go down well with the majority on account of the MC Hammer style trousers, but I love it.
It’s bold and has a weird feeling of being both futuristic and an ode to the ‘70s disco era at the same time.
While I do wish the hair was more slick, I do love that she opted keep the boots. Jimmy Choo pumps wouldn’t have been a great fit here.
The mood is perfect for a ceremony with MTV in the title, as Jurnee continues to be a great ambassador for Alexandre Vauthier; with this being her third look from the designer this year.
