2021 Latin American Music Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the ladies who were joined on the red carpet at the 2021 Latin American Music Awards on Thursday (April 15) in Florida by Carrie Underwood.

Zozibini Tunzi:  Usually a dress so sheer that you can visibly see underwear is a no-no for me, but between the bedazzlement of her Christian Cowan dress, to her smile, I was left astounded by how beautiful she looks.  

The models styling of Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Sophie ‘sandals, Giuseppe Zanotti clutch and fierce sculptural rings by Jovana Djuric were just the icing on the cake.

Anitta:  The Brazilian popstar was the first performer, and the person who everyone wanted to see.

She gave her fans the diva moment they wanted in this sexy David Koma Spring 2021 look.  I know many of you are over the granny panties looks, but I think if you’re not going to wear a look that sizzles like this to the Latin AMAs, then where are you going to wear it?  

Stuart Weitzman Merinda sandals completed her look.

On Twitter, some people compared her embellished caged skirt to a fruit protective foam sleeve.

Jacky Bracamontes: The hostess was definitely doing the mostest in this red Maison Alarcon by Jose Alarcon design. Due to the bold colour, silhouette and flare, this is also the kind of look I expect to see at this event.

If only the mid-section was a much closer match to her skin-tone.  That panel needed the opacity turned  down to 1%.  It’s currently around 59%.

Karol G: The Colombian singer came out on top with three awards – Song of the Year, Favorite Song – Urban  and Collaboration of the Year for ‘Tusa’ with Nicki Minaj.

I was surprised to see her opt for this simple white slip dress with matching white sandals, as her style is quite bold and dramatic, especially at events like this.  But she does look pretty, even if I’m not the biggest fan of her aqua hair colour.

Dascha Polanco:  I have to admit that I didn’t immediately like this House of Jewell Couture curved leather dress. 

But as I have had time it take it in, especially the structure and uniqueness of the design.

I’m remaining on the fence regarding the statement choker, but the bag on the floor is not sitting well with my spirit.

Ana Barbara:  The Mexican singer kept the dramatic sleeves trend alive wearing Monsoori gown.

Vanessa Claudio: This is a beautiful colour for the Puerto Rican actress, and it should be an easy sell, but this Maison Alarcon by Jose Alarcon gown feels really dated.

Gaby Espino: Wow.  What can you say about the Venezuelan actress in sleek silhouette Estefania dress other than wow?

The construction of this dress is infinitely more impressive than Karol G’s.

Ninel Conde: The Mexican singer was channelling her inner JLo wearing this Giannina Azar reflective mirrored fitted dress.

Alix Aspe: The TV host was a lady in red Mac Duggal sequins.

Zuleyka Rivera: While this Maison Alarcon by Jose Alarcon mirrored and feathered gown says ’80s supermodel, the Puerto Rican actress is rocking the hell out of it.
