Kelly Marie Tran Wore Prabal Gurung On The Ellen Show

Kelly Marie Tran made a guest appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Wednesday (March 24), where she addressed the sharp increase in anti-Asian hate crime.

As the actress lends her voice to Disney’s first Southeast Asian princess in ‘Raya and the Last Dragon,’ it was really important to hear her talk about this issue during her appearance.

“It’s been really, really difficult I think to feel so many feelings at once,” she said. “It’s such a difficult time for the Asian-American community and I think it hits everyone different.”

Kelly has supported Asian designers throughout her promo tour for this film, and this occasion was no different as she wore a look from Prabal Gurung’s Fall 2021 collection.

We have a lot of interesting details here. 

I love how the flutter sleeves and draped ruffle adds to the sense of romance that counters the bold floral bouquet and sliver of skin.

Some might feel this was a bit sombre – we are headed into spring after all – but I think this look set the right tone for this moment.
