MTV Unplugged Presents Miley Cyrus Backyard Sessions

Miley Cyrus teased her 115 million followers on Instagram with the above picture and following caption, “ANNOUNCEMENT! ??? lemme know your best guess in the comments! @mtv.”

Unlike me, her fans were quick to guess that the announcement was her fronting the latest edition of MTV Unplugged, which will be part of Unplugged‘s ‘At Home’ series, which was launched by the network back in the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.

‘MTV Unplugged Presents Miley Cyrus Backyard Sessions’ will first air on October 16 in the US at 7pm on on MTV, before rolling out to other countries over that weekend.

What can we expect to see from Miley?

She is set to perform covers of songs by the likes of Pearl Jam and Britney Spears during her set.

And I’m pretty sure her outfits will be epic too, starting with this MM6 Maison Margiela Fall 2020 dress.

Leopard print is popular that it’s become almost neutral, but zebra print, hasn’t received the same kinda love, but it looks like that will change for Fall 2020 judging by its appearance in the ‘WAP’ music video, the EMRATA Fall 2020 Nasty Gal collection, plus zebra print was seen on many Fall runways including Versace, Khaite, and Christopher Kane to name a few.

If you live for the black on white, you will surely love what Miley has presented.

As this is a performance piece, I don’t feel the matching opera gloves or the MYKITA + MM6 Maison Margiela sunglasses were at all OTT for this look.

Much like a zebra, Miley can’t be tamed. Maybe that’s the hidden metaphor within this look.

I don’t think I have ever owned anything with a zebra print, but I wouldn’t be opposed to trying it.
