Alicia Keys Announces Her New Album In Balmain

Like many artist, Alicia Keys had to delay her album.

The scheduled release of her seventh studio album, Alicia, was originally planned for March 20th of this year, but she chose to delay the album — and its tour, originally scheduled for June — because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The wait is finally over as the singer announced today that Alicia will officially drop this Friday, September 18th.

I have a feeling that her latest Instagram post – which she captioned ” We are strong, resilient and powerful ??????, ” won’t get a lot of love.

Not because of the message.  More to do with the biker shorts.

It is a ’90s trend brought back thanks to Kim Kardashian, and I’m sure many of you are either having 3rd grade flashbacks, or you are wishing this trend had stayed in the 90s’.

I have been living in biker shorts all summer.

As a 5ft 11in tall woman, I prefer the look of longer shorts, as my thighs will eat those short shorts up in two strides.

When it comes to Alicia, I feel like I should love this Balmain Resort 2021 look.

But I’m on the fence.

The graphic print is really impactful, but I feel like I would’ve loved this more if one of the items – possibly the shorts – had been a solid colour.

Alicia has never been afraid of making bold choices, so I’m not surprised to see her take on the full look.

From the neck up, she looks as stunning as ever.

What are your thoughts on this look?
