For the new Spring 2020 season, Alexander McQueen has re-introduced their bag called ‘The Story.’
It’s an instant classic that transcends trends, as it’s in a league of its own.
I first spotted this bag at the brands press preview some months back, and it was clear that this was going to be a staple, especially with celebrities.
‘The Story’ isn’t one particular bag, it’s a range.
‘The Story’ bag only comes in one size. With ‘The Story Shoulder bag’ and at tote called ‘The Tall Story’ making up part of the range.
The range goes even further when you breakdown the colourways (five fabulous colours: black, red, khaki, orchid pink, and white); whipstitch, grommet and studded accents, plus textures from leather to raffia.
Each style is trimmed with brass hardware and finishing.
The design is inspired by the unique narratives of our lives, especially as women, which is central to the house of Alexander McQueen. ‘The Story’ represents the McQueen woman of the new decade, whose femininity is accompanied by an undeniable strength.
Laura Dern gave us our first red carpet sighting of this bag at the BAFTA nominees reception this year.
Most recently Jodie Turner-Smith, Ana de Armas, and Sylvia Hoeks have been spotted carrying the bag. It has also been a hit with your favourite influencers and FROW’ers like Tamu McPherson.
