Chrissy Teigen In Yanina Couture – 2020 Grammy Awards

Chrissy Teigen In Yanina Couture - 2020 Grammy Awards

Chrissy Teigen was standing by her man, John Legend, who is nominated for a couple awards including Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at tonight’s 2020 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 26) in LA.

My first thought on seeing this look was this: John and whoever else is sitting next to her may have only half a seat left after leaning far away to navigate those wings.

That aside, I really did find this Yanina Couture Spring 2019 sunset-orange gown to be a fascinating mesh of sculpture and sensuality. I actually like this version far better than the runway variation — which is a rarity.

We’ve seen the architectural sleeves before, but her monochromatic, relatively minimal styling — including a matching Tyler Ellis clutch — ensured a fresh perspective.

Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Darcie’ sandals completed her look.

I think I only love this due to this color, which is divine against Chrissy’s skin. If the wings were removed in favor of a more simple strap of some sort, I would say she was a best dressed nominee.

Cheap fabric, horrible cut. Hard pass

This could have been so good, but neckline is a mess. And her hair, looks like she rolled out of the bed.

Overall, I like it because of the playful and sculptural design and it’s not tacky in concept. I do agree that it could do with some finesse and the plunge would look better if it were narrower.

It’s like on the model the flower is alive, on Chrissy it looks dead

The model sells it, she doesn’t.

I actually like it, not a lot, but I like it. It feels a little original and better than the runway version. Great colour on her.

Love the colour, hate the dress itself.

The gown on the runway is divine, and I like the butterfly shoulders on Chrissy. Yanina Couture is a great brand for her.

The skirt part is of the dress. The top part is very unflattering. Not every woman should wear a wide open v-neck dress.

I like the colour and that’s it. Looks quite sloppy.

Chrissy looks hot AF and the colour is fabulous on her, but the dress has just a little too much going on.

I was just about to get excited – the bold color, the sculptural drama…but the gown looks cheap and ill-fitted, and she needed to do something with that hair.

There are way too many features to this dress that it would look good on no one. Remove the slit and frills down the middle and it would be a start. The color is nice though.

Yes to the colour. No to every other thing about this look. The deep V, the wing like sleeves – so much going on.

I saw this on TV before I saw the photo and I have to say she looked really beautiful live! Her hair looks so pretty and natural.

When I saw it I thought it was Ashi Studio’s, I have to admit I really like the gown and how Chrissie is wearing it, the fabric looks a little bit shiny and cheap but otherwise is a good look.

I want to like this but I just cant. the fabric just looks so oddly cheap.
The large V just isn’t working here. Its unflattering.
I also find the long top giving very strange proportions….on the runway and off.
I love structured shoulders and such but this one is limp and cheap looking.
Her simple styling doesn’t help matters at all.

    No
How many time have we seen this particular gown?

Damn what’s happening this year at the Grammys? Nobody showed up.
