Alexis Bledel In Temperley London – 2020 SAG Awards

Alexis Bledel In Temperley London - 2020 SAG Awards

Alexis Bledel’s red carpet look at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 19) in Los Angeles was almost—almost—perfect.

In recent years, Alexis has embraced colorful looks for award shows, but tonight she went for a more serious vibe in a dark burgundy beaded dress.

Say “embellished floor length gown,” and you can probably picture all the similar styles stars have taken on the carpet, but this design felt anew with strands of jewels spanning out like the rays of the sun.

Paired with crystal-adorned mesh sleeves, the dress from Temperley London Resort 2020 is even more interesting.

Yet the devil is in the details, and the part that kills me is the tiered mesh layer at the elbow! The extra fabric seems unnecessary in the otherwise streamlined dress.

Otherwise, the ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ actress kept it unified with burgundy lipstick and clutch. Even her long waves and nail polish matched the color scheme. Alas, there is always one detail that gets away.

Different. I wanna like this not minding that unnecessary piece of net attached to the sleeves. It’s already messy but unique.

I love love LOVE this. I take the point about the mesh but the colour, the fit, the style, those embellishments. Incredible.

Beautiful dress. Love the ray detail. While that extra mesh at the elbow is a bit distracting, when seen on the model, it translates better, but was not necessary.

I really like this. Alexis has an interesting and personal style, and it is always a pleasure to see her on the red carpet. This looks great on her. One of the best dressed last night.

Very nice and polished look. the design is so rich. yeah the extra tulle is annoying, but on her it’s not as prominent as on the model. So win!

Really lovely. I love the rich color and details. The elbow ruffle drives mr nuts too but overall, she wears this so darn perfectly. It has a great vibe that she works well.
    I love it!

I love it even though the elbow ruffles are driving me nuts as well. Talk about one item too many in a design.

Very nice look, I’m really feeling it on her. I wish Anna Paquin would wear gowns like this, albeit less fussy ones.

I like the goth and romantic feel, this kinda vibe suits her. I do agree about the sleeves, too busy and distracting but it is still good otherwise.

“Yet the devil is in the details, and the part that kills me is the tiered mesh layer at the elbow! The extra fabric seems unnecessary in the otherwise streamlined dress.” – I agree.
    But I still LOVE this.

Think the background to the red carpet kept the sleeve detail not as obvious as the lookbook version. So was not as a showstopper as the black fabric got lost with the background
