Emilia Clarke In Schiaparelli Haute Couture – The Fashion Awards 2019

Emilia Clarke In Schiaparelli Haute Couture - The Fashion Awards 2019

Emilia Clarke attended The Fashion Awards 2019 held at Royal Albert Hall on Monday (December 2) in London.

It’s safe to say that the majority haven’t really warmed to Emilia’s style in recent times due to the flurry of suits and the occasional lack of colour, but Emilia was back to her very best in this stunning yellow creation from Schiaparelli’s Fall 2019  Haute Couture collection.

Without even taking a look back on her red carpet journey, I’m going to say this my favourite look from the British actress.

Some might take objection with the hemline, but this length keeps the look modern for me, and there is no way she could’ve cut this design.

The other modern trait includes the cut-out while the crystals and feather accented train infused plenty of glam.

Is this Emilia’s best ever red carpet look?

I love it, she looks fabulous, but I think her best red carpet look, for me, it’s still a Vivienne Westwood dress.

    Beautiful!
    Vibrant and elegant!
    Very classy

I’m a bit disappointed actually because this look had so much potential to do better. I would loved it had the dress been full length with extended sleeves but not billowy enough to form a cape. Then the focus could have been on the two piece element. The rest of the styling, colour however is great and she looks beautiful.

I don’t really like the bra top but she looked amazing on stage. I saw a clip of her presenting an award and it was next level

    Looks Lovely

I love the color and the amazing train….but not the front so much.
I find the length awkward. The hem does look unfinished.
Im again, surprised by the love of this.

Love it, including the length, but that hem!

  8. Guest December 3, 2019 at 12:13 pm #

It’s a beautiful dress ruined by the sloppy hem. This is couture and that hem is unacceptable. The color is wonderful on her.

    Couture with that hem?!

    • Guest December 3, 2019 at 12:14 pm #

Seriously. That hem is high school home ec?

I love the color but I wish the dress was floor length. And there’s something about the makeup that is letting me down…

The hem ruins it for me. It reminds me of a roll-up curtain, and the length is a bit awkward as well.

I personally think her style has been pretty impeccable lately, but I also agree this might be a personal best. I never would have imagined Emilia in this dress looking at the runway pic, but she does look fantastic in it. Such an unexpected moment. Definitely BDOTW-worthy.

yes!!!! Love this from head to toe. Perfection.

  14. Guest December 3, 2019 at 3:12 am #

This color is amazing on her, but it also kind of looks like two dresses competing for attention.

Her personal best. Color is fabulous on her, she’s not looking pale anymore. And the length? Well that’s everything about it. I love how the long sleeves embrace the floor, while not making her extra short as it always does when she go for floor length dresses.

  16. Guest December 3, 2019 at 1:36 am #

Her best look ever! And a great look in general. BDOTW so far.

Gorgeous! What a colour on her! Also loving the modern and interesting design.

  18. Guest December 3, 2019 at 12:28 am #

    Yikes
I dont like this at all.

Maybe in another colour, like blue or red but this colour is throwing me of.

  19. Guest December 3, 2019 at 12:27 am #

This is the first time I have been excited about one of her looks. Her best by a mile!

The fabric photographs REALLY badly in other photos…yikes. I’m sure it was luxurious in person and the bodice perfectly understands her bosom (this cannot be said for all couture pieces…often the boob fit is so baffling You Can’t Believe It’s Couture). I think this is very nice but it’s not her best ever. Her dream pairing is Valentino, though I like the idea of Emilia in Schiaparelli. Valentino, however, understands Emilia’s Girly Girl soul.

What a perfect colour for her skin and personality! I love the arm capes and the little cut outs that make this look feel so fresh and modern. BDOTW for me.

  22. Guest December 2, 2019 at 11:55 pm #

Yesssss and the outfit looks better on her than the model #winning

  23. Vizual Ninja December 2, 2019 at 11:49 pm #

I personally love this, it suits her vibrant personality. And, I find it pretty cohesive for so much details incorporated. if I were to nitpick, I also don’t like the hem but it’s a not a dealbreaker.

  24. Guest December 2, 2019 at 11:45 pm #

I could adore this if it were not the hem situation which looks like something I did when I was first learning how to sew. I expect more precision and this is something that could easily have been fixed so it bugs me even more.

I agree, I don’t understand such a bad hem from such a house!

    • Red Carpet Fashion Awards December 4, 2019 at 12:54 am #

It could be that the alterations were done by a trusted local tailor, rather than the house itself

  25. Guest December 2, 2019 at 11:32 pm #

It’s impactful but I don’t know if I really like it. There are too many design elements

  26. lmkw December 2, 2019 at 11:14 pm #

I do love this. Modern, cool color, plenty of glam. BUT the hem looks like she sewed it herself before leaving home and it doesn’t do a thing for the girls.

  27. Guest December 2, 2019 at 10:57 pm #

I absolutely love it. BDOTW contender already.

    • Jess Mara December 3, 2019 at 12:18 am #

      Agreed!!!
