Kiki Layne was one of the first on the red carpet at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 6) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actress was outfitted in a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown which had a modern poetic romance with the full skirt against the visible caged boning and bra cups.
I foresee the bodice details being divisive but hopefully everyone can agree about the beauty of the asymmetrical neckline and that this a strong statement for her Golden Globes debut.

I don’t like these dresses. If the bodice were lined, I might give it a pass. She does look beautiful, though.
I don’t the cups and the necklace which is a shame as the rest of it was serene and beautiful.
Lovely Princess
she has been my one to watch this year and i’ve been very impressed with her. This is nice and I like mauve on her, but I’m underwhelmed, i expected big things from her tonight.
#Disappointed
She looks lovely, but I’m so tired of the same Dior dresses over and over again.
Neck up she’s lovely but this does feel very repetitive thus it’s hard to be excited about this.
I think she looks beautiful.
um no thank. the bra cups showing like that turn me right off. It just cheapens the look.
If it was just lined in the waist area…..
+1 and it potential too.

She looks beautiful but I am tired of these blush DIor dresses……this is just another one of them
Neck up, she looks fantastic!
Meh. She’s Kiki, so of course she looks really good, but… Maria Grazia Chiuri has got to be one of the least creative designers. Version 5000 of this gown isn’t really capturing my interest – not at the Globes on Kiki, at least (I mean, she deserves better, she usually dresses so much more interesting).
the styling is also fantastic, though.
Just tired of MGC’s Dior, she could’ve done something different for a custom look for the Globes at least.
Although these dresses have been done to death she looks absolutely radiant and breathed some new life into this style.
So beautiful and regal.
