Saint Laurent celebrated the 50th anniversary of the film ‘Belle de Jour’ with a screening hosted by creative director Anthony Vaccarello and Catherine Deneuve at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City on Wednesday (December 19), with Chloë Sevigny and Leigh Lezark in attendance.

The evening commemorated the historic ties between the Yves Saint Laurent Maison and the film, and honoured the present relationship between Catherine Deneuve and Anthony Vaccarello.

Catherine Deneuve: We’ve associated Catherine with another French brand for so long, that I’m intrigued to see how the new fashion union plays out in the future. From the jump, I’m very impressed by this sleek menswear inspired look featuring the signature embellished lapels. As we all know Saint Laurent heavily focuses on minis, so I’m assuming suiting and custom looks will make up the majority of Catherine’s red carpet looks going forward.

Chloë Sevigny: The actress was rocking a style that exudes Saint Laurent’s Parisian sensuality, while channeling her own.

Leigh Lezark: As far as suiting goes, this felt a bit bare. It’s missing a bit of M&S. Magic and sparkle.
