Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Alexander McQueen – Trooping The Colour

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is officially on maternity leave after giving birth to Prince Louis just over month ago, but she made another returned to the public eye to participate in the Queen’s birthday parade; Trooping the Colour on Saturday (June 9), where she joined Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

The Duchess wore a pale blue Alexander McQueen box pleat dress with elegant shoulder details styled with flowery matching Juliette Botterill hat and Kiki McDonough blue topaz earrings, which matched Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, in a nice family moment.

Why was she sat next to the Duchess of Cornwall and not Prince William in the carriage?

Because he opted to ride horseback during the parade.

This was a chich look which is very much expected from the royal, but I found myself preferring her McQueen look from last years event.

For someone who had just given birth, she looks amazing. Should give her credit for that.

      Her snapback game is impressive.

On the video I thought the hat looked too big for her head. But here it seems fine .
The dress is as bland as they come. My grandma would love it. It’s just Kate being kate.
    She does look pretty

The hat is hideous and looks like a comedy hat . She is dull . The only nice things no is the colour

    This is awful.

      Seriously.

It looks a bit boring… Love the hat though.

I like the hat. The rest is a yawn. Last year’s look was way better.

This is my least favorite of her choices for this event, last years was beautiful and much better. She also looked very drawn and tired in all of her pics so maybe that’s part of it.

In the pics of her sitting down, I thought the hat and dress both looked frumpy. Standing up, she looks okay.

I agree. It looks much better when she’s standing. I think it’s because the defined waist helps save this look.

I also agree with with CK, this is no comparison to last year’s ensemble.

Lovely ladies, i am sure everyone is happy to see them all together often

Love the whole look. The square neckline and the slightly puffed sleeves are retro in the best way. The color is beautiful on her, and the classicism of the dress offsets the flair of the hat.

I agree! I think she looks very lovely. I’m so glad her hair is up so it didn’t compete with the neckline, sleeves and the hat

Oh, how lovely, the Duchess has splashed out on a new frock for the occasion!

    … Or has she?

In all seriousness, the colour is delightful and the Duchess looks lovely.

I love this colour on her. The dress is ok for me, but I adore the hat. She pulls off the most outrageous hats.

Those earrings, love. She looks good in pale blue (as does Camilla Bowles). That fascinator, goodness gracious. Fanciful. Glad she wore her hair up, nothing should compete with that hat.

Kate and Camilla do look good in light blue. On this occasion and in general I actually prefer Camilla’s hat game.
