‘The Miracle Season’ LA Premiere

‘The Miracle Season’ LA premiere on Tuesday (March 27) had many beauties in attendance.

Danika Yarosh: The actress looked angelic in Roksanda. The white frock is a change of pace from the designer’s signature colour-blocking but there is still plenty of visual interest with the fringing encircling the look and the gently flared skirt.

Helen Hunt: Opting for a shorter style, the actress looked chic in tones of black and gold. The dark dress accentuates the rich golden lace for a refined finish. The metallic shade is also gorgeous with her hair and skin tone.

Lillian Doucet-Roche: Bringing some colour, the brunette beauty had a romantic turn in a turquoise frock. With the white heels and golden earrings, there’s a summery sentiment to the style.

Erin Moriarty: The ‘Captain Fantastic’ actress went for short and sweet in a red mini. The frills and long sleeves present a feminine charm while the rich colour and raised hemline add a flirty undercurrent.

Natalie Sharp: The Canadian actress and singer also showed some leg in a ginger-colored ensemble. The colour enlivens her complexion, but the fabric and silhouette feel too relaxed for the occasion. The pumps attempt to dress it up, but they are too heavy for the short style.

Rebecca Staab: Another more casual look, the American actress was outfitted in a striped sweater, leggings and tall boots. Given the other outfits, this feels out of place. Had this been a screening, she might have had greater success in carrying it off.

The color of Lillian’s is beautiful. Helen’s is my favorite. Erin also looks good. Danika looks ethereal and pretty.

Love Helen Hunt’s dress; the rest are boring.

Helen Hunt looks good. I like the attention to detail of the ankle strap of her shoes.

i think Helen Hunt looks just fine ( i hate to add for her age, but then again she is a bit more mature than the others).

I like Erin’s dress, but not the shoes.

I have often wondered what the “for her age” language is trying to get at. Does it mean that if she wore this outfit and looked like this but was 20 years younger, she would look bad? Is there an age where one stops caring about looks so any attempt once one is past that age is worth congratulating? Do we have a lower standard for older women? Maybe, we should just say looks good and leave the age part out of it.
