Halsey In Georges Hobeika & Julien Macdonald – 2018 amfAR Gala New York

Halsey was a guest performer for the 2018 amfAR Gala New York on Wednesday (February 7), so we were treated to two looks from the singer.

Red Carpet: Slit to the hip-bone gowns never go down too well with the majority, but I do like how this Georges Hobeika Spring 2018 gown was styled with the embellished hosiery on the model. On Halsey it feels like a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen. Lorraine Schwartz 18 karat white gold and white diamond bow tie earrings and a white diamond dragon fly ring plus Jimmy Choo sandals completed her look.

Performance: Her Julien Macdonald Spring 2018 embellished sheer one-sleeve gown was very much expected. I’m trying to appreciate the artistic nature of it all – and something tells me if this was worn by JLo I would’ve found a way to love it – but it just feels incredibly thirsty, before we even touch on the fact that this has been done to death.
