Erin O’Connor celebrates receiving her MBE in Giles & Erdem

It was a very proud moment for Erin O’Connor who was honoured with an MBE for her services to fashion and charity yesterday (November 15), at an Investitures ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London.

Investitures ceremony: Marrying formal elegance with plenty of style, the model wore Giles Deacon custom made coat. While the opulent detailing and military influences are apparent, the ruffles and peplum gives her coat a ladylike air. I’m sure the Queen was also rather taken by Erin’s veiled fascinator.

MBE Party: I love how Erin co-ordinated her MBE badge to her Erdem Spring 2018 brocade dress. Few could make those embellished opera gloves work, but as I often associate opera gloves with high status and a vintage era, they couldn’t have been a more perfect match to her look. When it comes to the printed pumps, I can’t say the love extends to this piece. But she looks fabulous as always.
