27th Annual EMA Awards

The 27th Annual EMA Awards on Saturday (September 23), honoring film and television productions and individuals that further public awareness of environmental issues, had its fair share of flora on the red carpet.

Nikki Reed: The new mom chose a blue-green Tadashi Shoji Pre-Fall 2017 gown. Banding on the bodice brought some allure to the bohemian maxi dress decorated with red and white flowers.

Natalie Portman: The Christian Dior ambassador resisted florals, opting for a creamy frock from the fashion house. The simplicity of the above-the-knee dress with delicate sandals felt refreshing.

Jordana Brewster: Donning a white Paule Ka Pre-Fall 2017 dress with pink and red blooms, the actress incorporated the night’s white and flowers trends. Hueb ruby earrings, fuchsia lipstick and coordinating sandals enhanced the floral pattern on the dress, while the black nails and clutch added some toughness.

Karrueche Tran: The model-actress tends to favour form-fitting shapes so it was a delight to see her in this breezy dress. The Zeena Zaki creation’s ruffled skirt was made to be moved in. The draped sleeves and low, shawl neckline balanced out the voluminous bottom half.

Sarah Wright Olsen: Favoring a geometric design instead of blooms, the actress wore a Solace London Fall 2017 gown. The strapless dress’s pattern had a retro feel, but the black accessories and Jennifer Meyer jewels made it feel au courant.

Gina Rodriguez:
The ‘Jane the Virgin’ actress was also in a floral state of mind, experimenting with colour-blocking and ditsy flowers in Saloni. John Hardy jewels and a golden yellow clutch added a unique mix to the ensemble.
