Dame Anna Wintour In Chanel Couture – Investitures Ceremony

Queen Elizabeth II finally gave Anna Wintour something to smile about as the Vogue editor-in-chief was honoured as Dame Commander in recognition of her services to fashion and journalism at an Investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace today (May 5) in London.

Anna, or should I say, Dame Anna Wintour wore Chanel for the special occasion donning a pleated pink bouclé coat dress from the Spring 2017 Couture collection, accented with a silver belt and, new shoes.

I’m surprised she didn’t opt for Burberry for such an occasion as fellow Brits Adele in Stella McCartney, Katherine Jenkins in Preen, Andy Murray in Burberry, and Kate Winslet in Alexander McQueen, and even honorary Brit Natalie Massenet (who wore Ralph & Russo Couture), usually go British for this specially occasion.
