Diane Kruger In Prada – 2017 Met Gala

Diane Kruger attended the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1).

The actress and fashion lover wore a custom Prada gown accented with a gold bracelet and baby blue clutch.

Avant garde? No. Completely dramatic in its own rite? Most definitely. The gold beaded designs are really beautiful and whilst you cannot see it here, the back is sans beading and has a really fabulous draped detail.

I’m absolutely crazy about her choice of carrying a seemingly unrelated light blue clutch, and her makeup is perfection. Her radiant skin, light pink lips and flushed cheeks have her looking half her age.

Too conventionally pretty. Fail, considering who she is(was ?) in the fashion firmament.

Totally agree on the make-up but not Met Gala worthy methinks

Beautiful, but not Met fake look. However, for me it’s been a while since I last time saw her in something extraordinary. 2017 hasn’t been her year so far, so this look gives me hope that glamorous Diane is on her way back.

Gorgeous dress but Diane can do so much better for the met gala.

Noooooo. She looks so good but Just not for the met Ball. Keep this for another event. Great dress though

Same as the other Prada guests, Jessica and Lupita, the dresses are gorgeous and they all look lovely but random here.

I agree. Prada has gotten much better at customs since the failures of 2013 and down. But Prada didn’t come to play.

As usual, a very pretty look from Diane, but too understated for this event.

Both her and the dress are great here.
But maybe not appropriate for the event.

I think you need two “best dressed at the Met” lists this year – one for the avante garde, one for the conventionally beautiful. This belongs on the second.

The more I look at the details, the more I love this look. It’s perfection.

Im really surprised she didnt go more on theme. She would of suited it well. As such this is pretty much perfectly gorgeous. I love the blue clutch and the styling. Wish she went for it but I wish everyone went for it.

As I’m not liking any of her recent “edgy” looks, I’m glad that she opted for this dress. It’s beautiful, the fit is great and she looks very elegant.

+2. I don’t like the ‘new’ overly sexy and edgy Dinae, this is the Diane I have missed on the carpet for the past year. So pretty.

Pretty but boring! Wake up Diane!

Gorgeous for any other event, but too understated for the Met Gala.
It’s a shame because I love the contrast of the light blue clutch against her dress, and it would have been a BDOTW contender if it were any other time.

Gorgeous! But it doesn’t belong at the MET. Maybe at Cannes or some award show? Either way, it’s a beautiful gown and I love the way she styled it. I’ll ignore the fact that it doesn’t match the theme…

Quite understated for Diane. Nice but not for this event. I wished she went according to the theme in custom edgy Prabal Gurung.

Me too! So boring for this MET GALA

    • from-chitown May 2, 2017 at 15:14 #

I agree. She looks great and I am grateful she got some of her fashion mono back. But not good enough for the Met.
